I am a trained celebrant and was a registrar and celebrant with the Kent County Council in the UK for 3 years. I now live in Dubai and have been here for the last 18 years. Quite often the ceremony part of the wedding can be overlooked. This is the one aspect of the day that you can make it your own – memorable and special for you and your partner, with your own vows and promises to each other, personalized readings, music…. Having a celebrant conduct your wedding day is still an uncommon practice in the UAE and in the UK but it’s definitely picking up pace and becoming more popular here in the region with many venues and beautiful locations to choose from!
