فیلم مستند «لبه‌ی تیز صلح» به کارگردانی رویا سادات، فیلم‌ساز افغانستانی جایزه‌ی بهترین فیلم مستند حقوق بشر دوازدهمین دور جشنواره‌ی جهانی «صدای زنان اکنون» را به دست آورد.

در اعلامیه‌ی این جشنواره آمده است که جشنواره‌ی جهانی صدای زنان اکنون که از ۲۰ اپریل تا ۲۶ می در شهر لاس‌آنجلس آمریکا برگزار شده و در سال روان، ۳۹ فیلم از ۲۰ کشور شامل آن بود.

اعلامیه تاکید کرده است که این فیلم‌ها بیشتر به هدف نمایش میراث ماندگار پایداری و مقاومت زنان انتخاب شده‌اند.

فیلم «آهنگ سیما» در برنامه CineCulture دانشگاه ایالتی کالیفرنیا، فرزنو به نمایش درآمد. به قول داکتر مری این فیلم دوستداشتنی، نشانی از هویت و صدایی است که سزاوار دیده شدن در جهان است. گفت‌وگوی صمیمی با مخاطبان پس از نمایش بسیار پربار و تامل برانگیز بود.
و برای ما همیشه تعجب برانگیز تر این است که دنیا با تاریخ و فرهنگ و مردمان ما کاملا نا آشنا است…
من و عزیز دلدار به نماینده گی از فیلم شرکت داشتیم.
و بار دیگر داکتر مری را ملاقات کردیم، ایشان میزبان نمایش این فیلم بودند. نخستین بار سال‌ها پیش در زمان نمایش فیلم «نامه‌ای به رئیس‌جمهور» با هم آشنا شدیم.
دکتر مری بی‌تردید از چهره‌های فرهیخته و تأثیرگذار روزگار ماست، مدت هژده سال است که در این دانشگاه تدریس می کند و آدم ها را از طریق قصه های شان به هم وصل می کند.
از داکتر مری حسین برای حمایت همیشگی از سینمای اندیشمند و روایت‌هایی که شنیده شدنشان اهمیت دارد صمیمانه سپاسگزاریم.

We were deeply honored that our film Seema’s Song was screened at the CineCulture program at California State University, Fresno. This film represents an identity and a voice that deserves to be seen and heard around the world. Our heartfelt conversation with the audience after the screening was truly rich and thought-provoking.

Aziz and I were grateful and delighted to meet Dr. Mary Husain again. She is undoubtedly one of the most distinguished and influential figures of our time, dedicating her life to art, cinema, and bringing important stories to light.
