I like this.
What's something someone told you you couldn't do but you made happen? Sometimes that someone is you. And proving yourself wrong means finally stepping out and getting entrepreneurial.

How’s your 2021 so far? I had a bump but I’m still hopping along with help from family and friends. Finding between getting it done for my clients and taking care of myself and letting the healing happen. How about you?

First storm of the season (in Barbados). https://www.reuters.com/business/environment/elsa-strengthens-into-hurricane-near-barbados-us-nhc-2021-07-02 A timely reminder that we are in hurricane season and need to prepare as best as we can. I know we're all exhausted (it's been a year) but
-stay tuned to official weather alerts
-clean up around you to avoid flying debris
-update your phone with key contacts (and keep it charged)
-document your belongings in case you need inventory
-check your shutters if you have them (make sure they're in good condition); if you don't have and you can afford to get, do so
-keep important papers (birth certificate, health card, passport, insurance papers, other legal documents, sentimental photos) secure in water proof containers
-pick up extra non-perishables (1 or 2 per grocery run) just in case if you can afford to
-batteries, check your flash lights
-check on the people not in a position (financially or physically) to hurricane proof

Hurricane Elsa blew roofs off homes, toppled trees and sparked flooding in the island nation of Barbados then pounded St. Vincent with heavy rain and winds on Friday, as the storm was tracking towards Haiti.

Our Story

DBS - Dianne’s Brokerage Services - has been operating in Antigua and Barbuda since 2015. We offer efficient- fast-competitive customer service; i.e. we deliver quality import-export brokerage services. No knock against them, but dealing with the ports and all of the individuals and entities between you and your product can be a hassle. A waste of your energy and time. You’ve got your own business to manage. No worries; DBS has got you covered. “We get it done” is our company motto and with good reason. Founder Dianne S. Hillhouse has over 18 years experience, and is hands-on and responsive. Just ask clients like Debbie Smith of Pink Mongoose who describes DBS “prompt, efficient, reliable”. Thank you, Debbie and all who trust DBS with what matters to you, for your business. We aim to continue, per a review from another client, musician Paddy Prendergast, delivering first class service and going the extra mile “as a standard”.
