📊 Session 4 of the CaseKey Academy 2026 Investment Track focused on the transition from selecting individual investments to building a coherent portfolio.

We were honoured to welcome Garegin Gevorgyan, Chief Financial Officer of Ardshinbank, for an engaging session on portfolio management. 🤝

Participants explored the principles behind constructing a portfolio that is not only designed to generate returns, but also aligned with a clear investment mandate and appropriate risk level:

⚖️ Allocating capital through portfolio weights
📈 Balancing opportunity, diversification, and risk
🔍 Identifying concentration risk across holdings and sectors
💵 Understanding why cash allocation is also an investment decision
🔄 Considering the real costs of frequent trading
📊 Introducing volatility, drawdown, and benchmarks as essential portfolio-management tools

The session reinforced a key Investment Track principle: a portfolio is more than a collection of individual stocks. Every position, weight, and trade should serve a defined strategy and a long-term objective.

🎣 The CaseKey Academy 2026 Investment Track has officially begun.

We were pleased to launch the first Training Phase session with Vazgen Tadevosyan, Head of the Licensing Division at the Central Bank of Armenia. 🇦🇲

The opening session, “The Client and the Rules,” introduced participants to the core responsibility behind investment management: making informed, disciplined decisions based on a client’s objectives, time horizon, and risk profile.

Together, participants explored:
👤 The client mandate and long-term investment objectives
📈 The foundations of shares, ETFs, bonds, cash, and total return
⚖️ The difference between risk capacity and risk tolerance
🧭 The Competition Rulebook and the principles that will guide every portfolio decision

This marks the beginning of the CaseKey Investment Track Competition journey. Following the Training Phase, eligible participants will manage simulated portfolios and compete not only on returns, but also on strategy, risk management, benchmark performance, and the quality of their investment decisions. 🏆
