Dita Traidas is an international expert in vocational education and training (VET), education policy, and skills development with more than 30 years of experience leading systemic education reforms and international cooperation.
As Director of the State Education Development Agency of Latvia (1995β2024), she played a pivotal role in shaping Latviaβs VET system, strengthening links between education and labor market needs, and managing large-scale EU-funded education and skills development programmes.
π Dita has extensive international experience as a senior expert and advisor in EU-funded projects across Europe and Central Asia, supporting VET policy reforms, institutional capacity building, and skills governance.
A former President of WorldSkills Europe and Honorary Member of both WorldSkills Europe and WorldSkills International, she is widely recognized for promoting excellence in skills, international partnerships, and innovation in vocational education.
