Վերջին ութ տարիների ընթացքում Մոնղոլիան ձևավորել է կայուն ֆինանսների ընդգրկուն համակարգ։ Կլիմայական ռիսկերի նոր գնահատումների, կլիմայի փոփոխության մասին օրենքի ընդունման և վերահսկողության մեխանիզմների զարգացման պայմաններում ուշադրության կենտրոնում ավելի ու ավելի է հայտնվում այդ շրջանակի գործնական կիրառումը։

🌿 Green Finance, ESG & Biodiversity Investment: Making Nature Investable

As part of COP17, AmCham Armenia brought together leaders from the financial sector, business, and sustainability to explore how green finance, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and biodiversity investments can help advance a nature-positive economy.

The discussion featured Michele Pisetta, Director of Environmental Sustainability at Philip Morris International; Ara Makaryan, Deputy CEO and Director of the Business Development Department at ArmSwissBank; Eduardo Gonzalez, CEO & Co-founder at Green Box and Artak Manukyan, Board Member at the Central Bank of Armenia. The panel was moderated by Azat Manukyan, Advisory Partner at Grant Thornton Armenia CJSC.

The panel discussion examined the role of financial institutions, businesses, and policymakers in mobilizing capital for sustainable development, integrating biodiversity considerations into investment decisions, and turning nature-positive solutions into viable investment opportunities.

✨Meet the Speaker: Naira Derdzyan

Naira Derdzyan serves as Advisory Partner at Grant Thornton Armenia and is a senior advisory professional with over 18 years of experience across corporate and transaction advisory, valuation, strategy and policy development, M&A, financial and investment analysis, business intelligence, etc. She leads and reviews complex advisory engagements, supporting clients in strategic decision-making, transactions, investments and business growth. Her sector experience spans a broad range of industries, including mining and natural resources.

Naira is a member of the European Business Valuation Standards Board, the European Plant, Machinery & Equipment Valuation Standards Board, and the TEGOVA Scientific Council.

Her professional memberships include the Project Management Institute (PMI), where she is a member, and the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), where she is an Accredited Member. She also serves on the Board of the International Association of Strategy Professionals (IASP). She is a member of the Appraisal Review Committee, Certified Real Estate Valuator, Cadastre Committee of Armenia, and Armenian Women on Boards (AWOB), Corporate Governance Center.

Naira holds a PhD in Economics from the Armenian State University of Economics, a Master of Business Administration from the AUA, a Master in International Finance from the University of Amsterdam, and a Master in Corporate Finance and Banking from Duisenberg School of Finance. She is also a Project Management Professional (PMP).

Through her professional, academic, and institutional activities, she contributes to the development of advisory and valuation practices, professional standards, and methodologies in Armenia.
