HISTORIA
La historia se remonta al año 1904, cuando Nicolás Impellizzieri y su esposa Josefa llegaron de Italia a la Argentina y se establecieron en la primera zona vitivinícola de la Provincia de Mendoza como una pequeña familia de productores. Pero fue recién en la Vendimia del `88, cuando Luis Impellizzieri comenzó a embotellar aquellos primeros frutos (producto de muchos años de esfuerzo y de
dicación familiar) como así también, a comercializarlos a lo largo y ancho de todo el país. "Vinos de buen cuerpo, colores amables y aromas complejos" que nos brindaron la posibilidad de establecernos en el mercado nacional con gran firmeza y excelentes resultados. En 1995 recibimos el premio "Prix D`Excellence" en Paris, y en el mismo año Medalla de Plata y Diploma de Honor en "Vinandino". Con el pasar de los años se sumarían nuevas lineas; "Rocio" (Rosado de Malbec y también disponible en Chardonnay), luego "Viejo Carretón Oak Insert", y finalmente los espumantes: "V. Chariot" Extra Brut. En 2003, con casi 100 años de historia, comenzaría la comercialización de los vinos en el exterior de la mano de Lucas Impellizzieri (hijo de Luis). Panamá, Colombia y Estados Unidos fueron los primeros mercados en ser seducidos por "Oculto", una linea de varietales premium compuesta por; Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Bonarda y por supuesto, Malbec. En el año 2013, llegaría el vino icono de la bodega; "Logrado". Un blend único que representa la combinación de los mejores varietales de cada cosecha. Este fue lanzado en homenaje a los 25 años de dedicación de Luis Alberto Impellizzieri. Desde entonces, y a lo largo de tres generaciones, en "Viñas de América del Sur" nos hemos comprometido para lograr excelencia en cada uno de nuestros vinos. HISTORY
The history of Viñas de América del Sur dates back to the year 1904 when Nicolás Impellizzieri and his wife, Josefa, arrived to Argentina from Italy to settle in the first grape growing region of the Province of Mendoza as a small family of wine makers. However, it wasn’t until the grape harvest of ’88 when Luis Impellizieri began to bottle those first fruits (after several years of dedication and work) to then personally commercialize these all around the country.
“Viejo Carretón – Colección Diplomática”; was our first range. “Full-bodied wines with gentle colors and complex aromas” which gave us the possibility to establish ourselves in the national market achieving excellent results. In 1995, we were awarded the “Prix D’Excellence” in Paris, and the silver medal as well as an honorific diploma at Vinadino 95 in Mendoza, Argentina. New wine ranges were to come with the passing of the years, such as “Rocío” (Malbec Rosé, also available in Chardonnay), “Viejo Carretón Roble” (available in Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay), “Viejo Carretón Oak Insert”; and the sparkling wines, “V. Chariot” (Brut nature with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay) and the classic “V. Chariot” Extra brut. In 2003, after almost a hundred years of history, Panama, Colombia and the United States were the first markets to be seduced by “Oculto”, a premium range that included Pinot Noir, Bonarda, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec varietals. This was the beginning of the commercialization of our wines abroad by Lucas Impellizieri, the son of Luis Impellizieri.
“Logrado”, the most coveted wine of the estate saw the light in 2009; a unique blend that represents the combination of the best varietals of each harvest. “Logrado” was launched to pay homage to the 25 years of dedication to the wine making world of Luis Alberto Impellizieri. Ever since and all throughout a family of three generations, we have made a commitment to achieve excellence and quality in each and every single one of our wines at “Viñas de América del Sur.”
