The eagle isn’t looking at the camera. He’s looking past it at something we can’t see from down here.
On Saturday, we open KUNST SALON at the Schwarzer Adler in Jochberg. Our guest: Nomi Baumgartl, with works from her cycle „Eagle Wings - Protecting the Alps”. An eagle above the ridge. Glaciers under white tarpaulins. Images that claim nothing, and still ask a question: what does it take to make people see a landscape they think they already know?
Nomi Baumgartl has spent her working life photographing the fragile relationship between people and the natural world. Ten of her works hang in the house for the duration of the salon. She will be in conversation with Helmut Achatz, Head of Alpine Operations, Eagle Wings Foundation.
