Can you tell I am anxious to harvest? It’s only my 4th harvest at **e and it’s by far the earliest by 2-3 weeks. But the Chenin, Sémillon and Roussane are nearly ready — about another week and it’s go time. **e

According to 85% of consumers purchase w**e based primarily on the appearance and design of the label, so I put a lot of effort into my labels.

The shed on the labels is debossed and printed on a 1950s Heidelberg press by and then I stamp the vintage (year) by hand. This year I will have more than 400 bottles, so it takes time, but I enjoy it. **e

I will be bottling in the next few weeks and the allocation list if open if you want to reserve a bottle or two — shipping at the end of the year. Shopify link in profile - no payment necessary.

Waking up at 4:30 to graft and - more please. 😴😅

Day 1️⃣ we brushed away the old bark from the trunks.

Day 2️⃣ the Chenin and Pinot buds were added to the trunks.

Day 3️⃣ we are now removing the old cane and shoots, leaving only two leaves. This will encourage the vine to continue to bring water and nutrients to the leaves via the xylem, which will also feed the young bud.

Day 4️⃣ Water, water, water and hope it works. 😅😜

Watch this grapevine shoot up in 10 seconds spanning the last 30 days from all the sunshine. This particular vine is standing alone and not near the trellis, so it’s being trained using the Mosel Heart technique. While I do appreciate sunshine we need some rain soon. **e

Finally!! It‘s raining. 🌧️ I was worried that I would need to perform a rain dance soon to summon the spirits! The region is -33 mm off the 30 day average🫣Drink up my thirsty friends.
