Innovation goes Silicon Valley 🚀

Frisch zurück vom June Summit in Sunnyvale (Kalifornien): Unsere Kollegen Thomas und Jul aus dem Innovationsteam waren drei Tage lang mittendrin in einem der weltweit wichtigsten Innovations-Hotspots. 💡🇺🇸

Mit über 300 Startups aus 17 Branchen, spannenden Pitches, Panels und Networking-Sessions drehte sich alles um KI, Deep Tech und viele weitere Zukunftstechnologien. 🤖

Besondere Highlights: ein Besuch bei „The Garage“ von , eine Fahrt im selbstfahrenden Robotaxi von und ein erster Eindruck vom Cybertruck von – Innovation zum Anfassen. ✨

Neben wertvollen Insights und neuen Kontakten mit internationalen Corporates aus dem Plug and Play Netzwerk, konnten auch erste Ideen für neue Kooperationen angestoßen werden. Das bringt einen echten Boost für unser Innovationsnetzwerk. 🚀

Welcome to Vienna Airport! 🛫

Today we had the pleasure to welcome Alexander Schallenberg, Federal Minister of Austria for European and International Affairs, Kasia Greco, Vice President Chamber of Wirtschaftskammer Wien, and Karl Mahrer, Executive City Councillor of Vienna, in our Vienna Airport Conference & Innovation Center. 🚀💡

It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our many different facets in terms of modern events, meetings and coworkings as well as our innovation agenda here at Vienna Airport, which of course also includes the first European ESA Phi-Lab Austria and our collaboration with our friends from Plug and Play Tech Center.

Today was the kick off for two days filled with the top of the crop in all things logistics at BVL's 39th Logistik Dialog 2024. 🚚

Dr. Roman Stiftner and Dr. Günther Ofner welcomed all participants in our biggest event venue and we are very excited for the next 48 hours! 🙌

Taking off...into space 👩‍🚀 Literally!

Vienna Airport is becoming a space cluster: the first European ESA Phi-Lab was officially opened in our Vienna Airport Conference & Innovation Center - a pioneering partnership with the European Space Agency - ESA and Land Niederösterreich. 🛰

With the ESA Phi-Lab, Vienna Airport has an important new partner at Vienna AirportCity, which is an ideal operating and production location for companies thanks to its excellent accessibility, international connections and numerous services. 🛫🏙

Together with Landeshauptfrau Johanna Mikl-Leitner and ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher, Vienna Airport CFO Günther Ofner opened the new competence center for upstream technologies in the aerospace industry. 🚀💡

What a Job Day 🤩

This time attendees of our Airport Job Day had the chance to check out and deep dive into our construction, technology and IT departments. Around 200 potential new members of were enjoying the program on stage and were able to interact directly with our colleagues at their booths. 👷‍♂️💡💻
