Die Pianistin Peng Lin spielt Beethovens berühmte "Mondscheinsonate" auf dem von Gert Hechers Klavieratelier gebauten Hammerflügel. Das Instrument ist eine Stilkopie, die im Wesentlichen von Instrumenten der legendären Firma Streicher inspiriert ist. Stilistisch ist der Flügel um 1800/05 angesiedelt, also die Zeit, in der Beethoven einen großen Teil seiner Klaviersonaten komponiert hat.
Peng Lin verwendet im ersten Satz, wie von Beethoven gefordert und nur auf solchen Flügeln möglich, die permament geöffnete Dämpfung.

Beside our work in the workshop, we also attend to the tuning of our historic instruments like this Streicher from 1859 in the most renowned concert halls in the world. Today for example for the Orchester Wiener Akademie with Martin Haselböck and David Kadouch for Clara Schumanns Piano Concerto op.7 in a-minor.
