ABOUT US:

Ownver and Chief-Engineer Tom loves music. And he loves a challenge. He is a Amadeus Nominated Sound Engineer, Record-Producer and musician based out of Vienna. Tom founded the brand Pure Sound back in 2001 to serve as a platform for local musicians to record and release their music. Since it´s inception, Pure Sound has evolved into a boutique Studio that not only produces for music but also operates as a platform of exposure for artists and bands with a in house record label. Over 20 years in the music-business, Tom has worked on countless records and assembled choice pieces of world-class outboard gear to deliver the warmth and richness that creative music deserves. Our studio is widely-regarded as a very creative and generous space with a "great vibe", perfect for live tracking with full band and solo artists alike, as well as excellent for mixing, mastering, post-production for TV & Film. Our goal is to offer high-quality recording, mixing and mastering to spread the reach of our clients and increase their success as an artist.

SOOTHE3 + HIFAL2 — definitely two of my current go-to tools. 🎧

The funny thing is: when you work with the same tools for a long time, you eventually stop thinking about them. You just know what to reach for and what it’s going to do.

And that’s also the point where you really start to understand what the developers were aiming for in the first place.

The new SOOTHE3 update is a serious step forward for me. I mainly use soothe3 in the sub area, where it helps keep things clear, punchy and tight. On top of that, the update feels cleaner, more musical and noticeably less distorted. It does the same kind of job I already loved it for, just with less effort and fewer side effects.

HIFAL2 is a similar story. The previous version was already killer, but now everything feels faster and more immediate. You get to a good result really quickly.

And the Trim control is absolute gold when working across several tracks. Matching loudness and getting the midrange to sit consistently from song to song has honestly never felt this easy.

So yeah — no magic chain, no secret sauce.

Just two really good tools that I know well, trust, and keep reaching for. 🔥
