It was a long process with up and downs, excitement and insecurity but eventually with 100% clarity.

We are super proud to be part of "Stormy Times" (dt: Stürmische Zeiten) project which is dedicated to creating new AI solutions for mental challenges of emerging adults.

As part of the project, is hosting a series of co-creation workshops to understand worries and challenges better - one of them happening this Thursday as part of the amazing exhibition "GenZ" by Natasa Katalina. 🎨

Today, we are at the Impact Days, hosting a session on new ways to work with impact, with a special focus on NGOs and philanthropy. The session will cover:

- best practices and blindspots
- new insights and system's awareness
- approaches and methodologies to stop "save the world" behaviour

COLLECTIVE ACTION MEANS...

This August, we facilitated a hybrid workshop in Entebbe, Uganda 🇺🇬 organized by Innovation for Change - Africa Hub dedicated to collective action and solidarity building. In this workshop we realized 3 elements that are crucial to collective action and solidarity building. Here they are:

01 DANCING WITH CREATIVITY

☘️ The three day workshop was facilitated by Bistra Kumbaroska and Christina Forster who joined the event online, while our Nomwesigwa Silas co-facilitated on the ground. Participants from three African countries joined to build and tap into the collective action and inspiration of their work, imagining a world beyond what is currently there.

🦜 We learned that collective action and change never happens without the joy and fun of dancing, moving, holding hands and sharing energy with each other. Thanks to Silas, we had new energizers and activities every day, connecting us to our core purpose and allowing us to bring love and care to each other, while laughing together 💚

02 STANDING IN YOUR TRUTH

🔎 The workshop followed the methodology of codesign (design thinking for social change) and fully immersed participants into an experience of new thinking and understanding of complex issues.

💪 We learned that collective action and solidarity happens when all voices are heard and the space for sharing and building new ways and visions is safe. Holding space for confusion was crucial and although the experience was not always comfortable, it led to participants sharing brave new ways of looking at current challenges 💚

03 FINDING COURAGE IN EACH OTHER

❓The solutions we need in the world today require spaces for co-creation, co-imagination but most importantly for "having no answers" and sitting with that feeling together.

💌 Through this workshop, we experienced that collective action and change always lives in the spaces between people and initiatives, in the togetherness and our human capability to collaborate and co-create.

A couple of weeks ago, we were invited to deliver a workshop on , organised by AG Globale Verantwortung - a network for NGOs in Austria.

We are very grateful that we had the chance to work with participants coming from many different NGOs in Austria - and that they were “all in” for taking a new journey with us, on how to approach Digital Advocacy.
