Are you looking for a screenprinting studio in Vienna?
We currently have some free space available for artists, illustrators and designers who want to work on their own projects with 24/7 studio access.

Our studio includes:

- two printing rooms with vacuum tables
(max. frame size 130 × 160 cm)
- textile printing tables
- 4 colour carousel
- darkroom with washout booth + exposure unit
- a large collection of frames and meshes for printing on paper, fabric, wood, mirrors and more

More than anything, Viadukt is a shared workspace built around printmaking, exchange and community.

Come join a group of print lovers and experience the magic of sharing knowledge, processes and ideas on many different levels.

Join us for a conversation between Michael Wegerer and artist and printmaker Renata Darabant as part of FLATNESS WAS A DECISION.

Together, they will explore the relationship between image, material and form, the possibilities of contemporary printmaking, and the interplay of analogue and digital processes in artistic practice.

Renata Darabant is the founder of Druckwerk Wien and head of the intaglio printmaking workshop at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

Earlier this year, we presented Michael Wegerer’s Folded Figures at the Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair.

Now we’re bringing it back to where much of it began - with new works, new monotypes, and a closer look at the process behind them.

WE DID IT! 💛

It’s been three days since our crowdfunding ended - and to be honest- i put my phone aside for a little while.

Now it’s slowly sinking in: we more than doubled our €6,000 goal. Thank you. So much.

To everyone who supported us, shared the campaign, told friends about it or simply cheered us on - and to all the familiar AND completely unfamiliar names on that list: you made this happen.

In the next two weeks I’ll receive the final list of all orders and then we’ll start printing, packing and shipping. Thank you for your patience!

18 years of Viadukt - and now we get to keep building this place together. 💛

Tomorrow, Viadukt turns 18.

On September 19, 2008, we celebrated the opening of Viadukt in our first space, inside one of Vienna’s old Stadtbahn arches - which is also where our name comes from.

Before that, there had already been months of renovating, building, painting and doing pretty much everything ourselves.

Looking at these old photos now, I was so young and really had no idea what was ahead of me!

In 2015 we moved to Gumpendorfer Straße, where we’ve been for the past eleven years.

And when I look back, it’s really all the people I think about. So many faces, so many stories. Artists who came to print, people who learned screen printing with us, people who worked here, helped, stayed, left, came back. So many prints, workshops, long days and very late nights.

The studio has changed a lot over these 18 years. And so have I.

Tomorrow, exactly on our 18th birthday, our crowdfunding also ends.

So this feels like a good moment to look back at where it all started - and hopefully towards many more years of Viadukt.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of it. ❤️

Very happy to finally show you the piece we recently printed for and Galerie Ernst Hilger - with the edition soon to be released by the gallery.

We printed seven different layers of blue on top of each other to achieve the depth, gradients and subtle shading of ballpoint pen ink. 💙

Our crowdfunding is entering its final week!
