⭐Coming Home Routine ⭐

Do you have a routine coming home? What's the first 5 things you do?
•
The very first thing I do is I say hello to my house, yes it might sound strange but its something my mom also always did and it just makes me feel im home and gives me a good feeling! 🥰

> I take of my shoes, coat, and put them where they belong
> I check my bag and remove my phone and any garbage that might have ended up in there during the day 🙈 and then I also hang it
> I put my keys (car and house) where they belong
> I go inside deal with the mail straight away while I enjoy my first tea
> and for the atmosphere I almost always light some candles

These steps are so automated I dont think about them, yet they keep me and my house organized!

Before/After - forbidden drawers...

I'm sure you also have one, a drawer where everything vanishes... papers, old bills, notebooks, receipts, cards, notes and all sort of other clutter.

I also used to have a few drawers. I wondered why don't we throw this stuff away straight from the beginning? Why is it hard? How does it accumulate? And why did it take me so long to get rid of it?

I dont have all the answers, but I do know how to get rid of it.
1. Take it all out!
2 Wipe clean
3. Keep only what you need and love and can't live without
4 Categorize these items
5. Enjoy results ⭐

Fold like a pro ⭐

It might seem like a lot of work, but it's so worth it! And like with everything practise makes perfect. And the more you do it the faster you will get!

I bought these organizational boxes just to carry my wash up from the basement to the first floor, but if you don't want to spend money, a shoe box will do the trick just as fine!
•
This way of folding, from Marie Kondo makes vertical folding make sense. The advantage is when I open my drawer I see what I have in one glance. 🙋🏽‍♀️

Box it + Fold it

Once you declutter the storage will be determined. The place where each item rests after being used.
Once the storage place is determined, the trick to stay organized is to box all your items. Once it’s boxed it’s easier to store it back in its right place and the item does not move when the drawer is opened...
•
Also it’s a great chance to clean 🧼 the drawer and reevaluate the items that are in it!
•

Especially if it concerns a hobby - we should be kind to ourselves and help ourselves enjoy our hobby the best possible way...

The trick is to take it all out, perfect way to clean the surfaces and then only put the selected items back...
Be critical and honest of what you use and what you might need in the future.
