From exhibition design to the performing arts, digital technologies are shaping the future of how we experience art and culture.

This online session brought together by Vienna Business Agency Wirtschaftsagentur Wien - Vienna Business Agency and CIVA , invites you to take a deeper look into the work of Lara Lesmes and Fredrik Hellberg of the multidisciplinary design and research studio Space Popular , and influential theatre director Susanne Kennedy .

What unites them is their exciting and novel use of digital technologies in their collaborations with museums, theatres and other cultural institutions. The result is innovation.

Which new digital concepts and ideas can exhibition and stage design benefit from?

How can digital strategies and interactive elements enhance exhibition displays or stage designs and how can they be implemented?

How can architecture and design meet the changing expectations of visitors?

Which digital tools in exhibition and stage design enable the audience to experience and participate in cultural production processes?

Call for new projects‼️Pixel, Bytes + Film goes into the next round‼️
sound:frame has been able to accompany this funding programme for a few years now and we can only warmly recommend it! The great thing is that not only is a production budget of up to 35,000 euros made available for each project, but the projects are also accompanied by measures for further education, theoretical discussion and professional networking over the course of a year.
Funding is available for film projects that deal artistically with new media and distribution channels and digital technologies of image production (such as digital animation, XR, 3D motion capture, 360°, artificial intelligence) and explore their formal spectrum and narrative possibilities.

🖤 Recommendation 🖤 Wiener Festwochen "Kraanerg"
Anlässlich des 100. Geburtstags von Iannis Xenakis haben die Wiener Festwochen die französische Choreografin Emmanuelle Huynh eingeladen, dem ikonischen Werk Kraanerg mit ihrer eigenen künstlerischen Vision zu begegnen. Ursprünglich 1968 als Ballettmusik für 23 Instrumente und ein Tonband geschrieben, steht der aus zwei griechischen Worten zusammengesetzte Titel für die Hoffnungen einer revoltierenden Jugend auf eine Änderung politischer, sozialer und ideologischer Systeme. Unter der Leitung von Sylvain Cambreling setzt das Klangforum Wien die verdichteten Klangmassen in Bewegung. Für ihre szenische Fassung arbeitet Huynh eng mit der Lichtdesignerin Caty Olive zusammen. Gemeinsam geben sie der Komposition einen multidisziplinären Rahmen, ganz nach den Visionen von Xenakis. 🖤
