So glad to finally be releasing the first episode of our new podcast - What’s NXT with Pete and Dave.

Every two weeks, my co-host Dave Yeates and I interview thought leaders from around the globe on their unique contributions to leadership, agility, innovation and change.

Agile Mining - apparently, you can teach an old dog new tricks.

A recent paper was published and presented at the AusIMM Conference this year in Brisbane on our approach to blending agile and vertical leadership development together to create what we call Vertical Agility.

Our approach focuses on building leadership development into everyday work via heat experiences and agile work practices, while increasing a leader’s innate capacity to work with VUCA and increasing levels of dynamic change. We accomplish this through micro skilling and increasing individual leaders levels of:

Perspective seeking, taking and coordination
Contextual thinking
Collaborative capacity
Clarity

This integrated approach allows participants to forego the overhead of traditional leadership development by formally building it into day to day work as development sprints.
