Meet The Team / Loren Quinn

Loren joined KML Business Solutions almost a year ago, helping to manage our clients' books and payroll. Over time, she’s become an integral part of our team by also supporting the day to day running of our office. Her adaptability and positive energy make her a true asset.

Fun Fact about Loren:
When she’s not crunching numbers Loren is a part of a successful Cooking Cabaret show that’s toured across Australia and even performed at the iconic Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland over the past nine years. Running the kitchen and operations for the show this is a must to check it out. Comfort Food Cabaret.

Loren’s Favourite Travel Spot:
Loren loves anything beachside in summer, whether it's soaking up the European sun with family in Malta or enjoying a relaxing holiday closer to home in Robe.

"Now More Than Ever" is the theme for this year's National Reconciliation Week, and we're looking forward to bringing our clients, friends, and community together to explore how each of us can contribute, now more than ever, to achieve reconciliation in Australia.

Funds raised from each ticket will be going directly to Challenges Into Opportunities, to help their important work in the community supporting our young mob.

We will have the amazing Ashum Owen doing the Welcome to Country, music by the very talented Nathan May & catering by some of our absolute favourites Little Local Co.

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing team for 20-30 hours per week.

While it’s a typical bookkeeping role with the person playing an important role maintaining clients’ records and providing ongoing day to day bookkeeping support…

They won’t be working for a typical accountant. We are:

- Proudly majority Aboriginal owned
- We work with Aboriginal businesses and are passionate about supporting Aboriginal owned businesses and entrepreneurs
- Open to part-time employment
- Happy to offer flexible working hours (ideal for working around school hours)
- Based at either Brooklyn Park or Mt Barker.
- Serious about providing growth, diversity and making a difference.

Last night we celebrated 2 amazing years of our business! Who would have thought we would be where we are now, with such an incredible support system. We thank everyone that has supported us so far and we hope to continue to support as many people as we can. Looking forward to what next year has in store for us 🤍

We recently commissioned Aboriginal artist Shaan Broadbent ( ) to design a piece that not only tells our business story graphically but also serves as a symbol of our deep commitment to Aboriginal culture and community engagement- and I love it so much! Shaan is also Addison's mum (our wonderful trainee)

Here’s a little bit about what Shaan wrote about her artwork:

“The artwork embodies KML’s connection with the community, its role in working among business, and its positive influence on First Nation’s culture… It’s a visual representation of the journey KML undertakes to create a better future, inspiring businesses and individuals to embrace growth, development and unity, all while preserving the rich cultural heritage that defines us.”

And let me tell you, this isn't just going to hang on our office walls. It's going to be used all throughout our business.

This wasn't just about supporting an Aboriginal artist; it's about the conversations this artwork will spark when people inquire about its meaning.

Because, as with all Aboriginal art, every dot or stroke tells a story. And trust me, we're just getting started in sharing our own story and the story of Aboriginal-owned businesses.

Meet our very first employee Addison! 👏🏽 Addison is a Iwaidja young woman, who is just starting with us as a school based trainee. You will see her working with us one day a week during school and she will also be working towards a Cert III in Business. We are super excited to have Addison on board with us, she is incredibly intelligent and eager to learn! We can’t wait to watch you grow within our team. Welcome Addi 🤍
