Sometimes the hardest part of faith is waiting when nothing seems to be changing.

You pray. You hope. You keep showing up. And still, the answer seems delayed.

But a waiting season is not necessarily a wasted season. God can be working in places you cannot see, preparing what you cannot yet touch and aligning what you could never arrange for yourself.

Joseph went from prison to palace in a moment. One day he was waiting. The next, everything changed.

So don’t let the length of the wait convince you that God has forgotten you.

Never underestimate how quickly God can turn a season of waiting into a season of abundance.

Keep trusting. Keep preparing. Keep becoming. Your current season is not the final chapter. 🤎

THE SUITCASE THAT CARRIED MORE COURAGE THAN CLOTHES.

The suitcase that carried more courage than clothes.

Some journeys ask you to leave behind everything familiar before you discover who you are capable of becoming.

Sometimes a suitcase carries more than clothes.

It carries fear.

Hope.

Memories.

Prayers.

And the quiet courage it takes to leave what you know and step into what you don't.

There are journeys where you arrive somewhere new carrying pieces of an old life, while having no idea what the new one will become.

Maybe you've moved countries. Left a relationship. Walked away from a familiar life. Started over somewhere nobody knew your story.

You may have thought you were simply changing places.

But God was changing you too.

Genesis 12:1 begins Abraham's journey with God's instruction to “Go from your country... to the land I will show you.”

Sometimes God doesn't show you the entire journey before asking you to move.

You take what you can carry.

You trust Him with what you cannot.

And years later, you realise the greatest thing that travelled with you wasn't inside the suitcase.

It was the courage you discovered along the way.

I THOUGHT I WAS REJECTED. REDIRECTED.

I thought I was REJECTED. REDIRECTED.
I thought I was DELAYED. PREPARED.
I thought I was BROKEN. BECOMING.

Have you ever looked back at something that once devastated you and realised it meant something completely different from what you thought at the time?

At the time, rejection felt personal.

The delay felt like God had forgotten you.

The breaking felt like you were losing yourself.

But sometimes we name a season before we've lived long enough to understand it.

What you called rejection may have been redirection.

What you called delay may have been preparation.

And what you called brokenness may have been the beginning of becoming someone stronger, wiser and closer to God.

Romans 5:3–4 reminds us that suffering produces perseverance, character and hope.

Some chapters only make sense when you look back with healed eyes.

Maybe you don't need to rewrite what happened.

Maybe you just need new language for what God was doing through it.

DON’T JUDGE YOUR FUTURE BY WHAT YOU SEE TODAY.

What looks small in your hands may already be carrying something much greater in God’s.

A seed doesn’t look like a tree.

If you judged it only by what you can see, you might never believe what it was capable of becoming.

And sometimes we do the same thing with our lives.

We look at where we are today and decide what our future will be.

The small beginning.
The unanswered prayer.
The quiet progress.
The dream that hasn’t grown yet.

But what you see today is not necessarily what God sees.

Zechariah 4:10 reminds us, “Do not despise these small beginnings.”

Some things need roots before they can produce fruit.

So don’t dismiss what God is growing simply because it still looks small.

Don’t compare your seed to somebody else’s tree.

Give it time.
Keep watering it.
Keep believing.
Keep becoming.

The same seed can carry a much bigger story.

SOME DOORS HAD TO CLOSE

You kept calling it rejection. God knew staying there would cost you the person you were becoming.

Have you ever prayed for something to work, only to watch the door close anyway?

A relationship you wanted to keep.
A friendship you thought would last.
An opportunity you were certain was meant for you.
A place you had become comfortable.

When a door closes, our first thought is often, Why didn't God let this work?

But sometimes the closed door is the answer.

Not every ending is rejection. Some endings are protection. Some are redirection. And some happen because what once fit your life can no longer go where God is taking you.

Isaiah 43:19 says, “See, I am doing a new thing!”

Maybe God isn't taking something from you.

Maybe He's making room for what comes next.

So don't spend your whole life knocking on a door God has already given you permission to walk away from.

New seasons. New strength. Same God.

CHAPTER 12: THE SEASON I HAD TO BEGIN AGAIN

I thought starting over meant I had failed. Later, I realised God was giving me permission to stop building a life I had already outgrown.

Have you ever had to begin again when starting over was the last thing you wanted?

Maybe it was a relationship. A career. A friendship. A dream. A place you once called home. Or simply a version of yourself you thought you would be forever.

Starting again can feel like failure because we look at everything we invested and wonder, Was it all for nothing?

But I'm learning that an ending doesn't always mean you failed. Sometimes it means that chapter has finished doing what it came to do.

There are seasons God will allow to end because you cannot become who He's calling you to be while desperately trying to remain who you used to be.

And beginning again doesn't erase what came before. You carry the lessons. The wisdom. The strength. Even the scars that remind you what you survived.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”

Maybe you're not back at the beginning.

Maybe you're beginning again with experience.

A greater story is still unfolding.

YOU CAN BREAK WITHOUT BECOMING BROKEN

You can break without becoming broken.
God can build something beautiful from places you thought would always hurt.

There are seasons that break something in us.

A relationship ends.
Someone betrays you.
A dream falls apart.
Life changes without asking your permission.

And sometimes the hardest part is wondering, Will I ever feel like myself again?

But broken moments do not have to become a broken identity.

Think about the golden seams in this image. The cracks are still there. They haven't been hidden or erased. But what once looked like damage has become part of something beautiful.

I think God does that with us too.

He doesn't ask us to pretend the pain never happened. He meets us in it. He heals what needs healing, rebuilds what needs rebuilding, and teaches us that our scars don't have to be something we're ashamed of.

Psalm 147:3 says, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Maybe healing isn't about becoming the person you were before.

Maybe it's about allowing God to make something beautiful from what remains.

You can break without becoming broken.

STOP JUDGING YOUR LIFE TOO EARLY

You are allowed to still be Becoming.
Stop judging an unfinished life as though God has put down the brush.

Have you ever looked at your life and thought, I should be further than this by now? Maybe you thought you would be more settled. More healed. More successful. More certain about who you are and where you're going.

But here's something I'm learning: we are often judging an unfinished life as though God has already put down the brush.

Think about a painting halfway through. There are unfinished edges, colours that don't seem to belong together, and parts that look messy before you understand the whole picture. Sometimes, that's exactly what life looks like.

You may still be healing. Still rebuilding. Still learning. Still discovering who you are. That doesn't mean you've failed. It means the story isn't finished.

Philippians 1:6 reminds us that the One who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion.

So give yourself permission not to have everything figured out yet. God hasn't put down the brush. You're still becoming.

When I look back on my journey, I can see God’s hand everywhere.

Through every valley and every mountain, Lord, You have always met me there.

When the storms surrounded me and the nights felt long and cold, You became my shield, my refuge and my safe place. Your presence became more precious to me than silver or gold.

There were moments when I did not understand what You were doing, but You never left me. You carried me, protected me and reminded me that I was never walking alone.

Today, I look back with a grateful heart and say, “Thank You, Lord. You have been faithful through it all.” 🙏🏾
