To all the businesses doing it tough right now — we see you.

It absolutely breaks our hearts hearing how many small businesses are struggling, and how many have already closed their doors. I heard on the news that 1 in 3 small businesses could shut after Christmas. I truly hope that prediction is wildly overstated, because even losing one is too many.

But honestly… it’s no surprise. The cost of doing business in Australia has become overwhelming. The regulations, compliance demands, and endless red tape — all stacked on top of rising expenses — are pushing people to the brink.

Case in point: today an electrician came to fix the exit light pictured. It apparently failed a test to stay illuminated for 90 minutes during a power outage… and now we’re expected to pay $2,535.50 to fix it. 🤬😮
What an absolute joke.

Enough is enough.

We’re not closing down — but these kinds of regulations make staying open harder than it should be.
