Congratulations to Kristoffer Birkeflet and crew for the successful completion of the Sunndalsøra project in Norway for Hywer. The 12-1/4” x 30” x 886m long reamed hole with an elevation of 350m in hard rock with quartzite banding was completed in a record 11 days with TRANSCO’s 12-1/4” x 30” x 4 cutter hole opener with a single set of cutters, with the bearings and seals still functional and the carbide still in good condition, this hole opener and cutters will be used on an upcoming project.
