If you are wondering what happens when we get in a room with leaders, here is a sneak peek.

Our workshops are interactive - no death by power point all day. Real leaders discussing and sharing their challenges.

Here, leaders are acting out ineffective meeting scenarios (wow, we have sat in everyone of these meetings) and then redesigning these meetings to be effective.

There were many laughs and a lot of fun. Adult learning at it's finest.

We are very grateful to be invited to share some pretty cool experiences with teams.

The latest was getting our competitive spirit on at the Hijinx Hotel!

With plenty of laughs and healthy team banter it was a great chance to let our hair down. Safe to say… there were a few very competitive personalities revealed.

Most leaders don’t struggle because they lack capability. They struggle because no one ever taught them how to lead.

Anita & Brett explore this in their latest blog. One day you’re doing great work, the next you’re expected to manage people, handle conflict, give feedback, and make tough calls. https://teamsonpurpose.com.au/no-one-prepares-you-for-the-deep-end-why-do-we-train-for-years-to-do-the-work-but-almost-none-to-lead-people/

No training, no roadmap—just figure it out. We spend years mastering the work, but almost none learning how to lead people. Who helped you learn how to lead? And just as importantly, who are you helping now?

Leadership isn’t something you absorb by osmosis. It’s a skill that needs to be developed. When it is, everything shifts—better conversations, clearer expectations, stronger teams, and more confident leaders.

The leadership team at Torrens Transit had the pleasure this week of hearing the story of Holly Scott. She shared a message of road safety and her incredible journey of recovery, resilience and how one moment can everything.

This sparked further conversation amongst the leaders around the ripple effect of their decisions, moments and reactions. All which have an impact on those that we lead. As leaders we need to diligently stirve to show up with intent and integrity and be aware of how much influence we really have.

In the words of spiderman "with great power comes great responsibility"

Thankyou to Daniel O’Connor for co-ordinating and hosting our guest and thankyou Holly Scott for your authenticity and vulnerability.

Ever heard someone say: “We don’t really have conflict in our team…” Sounds like a good thing, right? It may be a Red Flag 🚩

Have a read this is something every leader needs to think about. https://teamsonpurpose.com.au/is-it-really-a-good-sign-when-there-is-no-conflict-in-your-team/

No conflict often doesn’t mean everything is working perfectly…
It usually means people aren’t saying what they really think.

👉 No pushback
👉 No debate
👉 No challenging ideas

And that’s where bad decisions quietly slip through.

The best teams don’t avoid conflict, they use it.
They trust each other enough to disagree openly, challenge ideas, and make better decisions together.

If your meetings feel too smooth… it might be time to ask why.

The world is getting noisier — and it’s making leadership harder… so how do leaders create much needed clarity in the workplace? Every day brings new uncertainty—economies, conflict, constant headlines—and that noise doesn’t stay outside; it seeps into teams, shaping how people think, decide, and perform. https://teamsonpurpose.com.au/leading-through-uncertainty-how-leaders-create-clarity-for-their-teams/

At Teams on Purpose, we are seeing this play out more and more: hesitation, slower decisions, and teams unsure of direction.

Let's analyse why this is happening—and more importantly, what strong leaders are doing differently to cut through the noise, steady their teams, and lead with clarity.

If you’re leading a team right now, this matters more than ever.

We spent the day with the Calvary Adelaide PeriOp Leadership Team this week as part of a six part team and leadership development program.

Together we explored what is working well and spoke openly about the pressures leaders are navigating. There was a real willingness to reflect, challenge existing norms and commit to small but meaningful shifts in their leadership practice.

Plus in the breaks, commitment to their push up challenge in their scrubs!

Looking forward to what the next sessions bring 👏

Does leadership feel more overwhelming than it used to? Read the latest article from Anita and post a comment to let us know what you think: https://teamsonpurpose.com.au/why-does-leadership-feel-so-overwhelming-right-now/

Does any of this resonate with you?

• Constant competing priorities
• Pressure to deliver results while supporting your team
• Endless meetings, emails and decisions
• Feeling responsible for everything but in control of very little

Many leaders are quietly feeling the weight of leadership right now.

It’s not a lack of capability.
It’s not a lack of effort.

Leadership today is simply more complex than it used to be — and many leaders are carrying that pressure without the support or space they need.

In this article, Teams on Purpose explores why leadership feels so overwhelming right now and what organisations can do to create healthier, more sustainable leadership environments.

If you’re leading a team, this might resonate.

Do your meetings look suspiciously like a 1944 sabotage manual? Brett from Teams on Purpose recently reflected on a declassified WWII document that outlined how to quietly cripple organisations: not through conflict, but through meetings, committees and delay. The uncomfortable truth? Many modern workplaces mirror the same patterns. Read the full article here: https://teamsonpurpose.com.au/do-your-meetings-look-exactly-like-a-1944-sabotage-manual/

When everything feels busy but nothing truly moves, it may not be workload — it may be inertia disguised as professionalism. The manual encouraged behaviours like referring decisions to committees, insisting on full consensus, reopening settled issues and avoiding clear responsibility — all designed to slow progress without appearing disruptive.

Most organisations aren’t broken — they’re just stuck in habits that quietly drain momentum. The shift isn’t about adding pressure. It’s about restoring clarity. When leaders choose ownership over avoidance, meetings regain purpose, decisions have names attached, and trust replaces hesitation.

Because the greatest threat to performance today isn’t conflict. It’s inertia dressed up as responsibility.
