What a difference the right lighting can make. 💡

This pathway went from dark and underused to a well-lit route people can confidently use after dark.

Solar lighting can help bring existing spaces back to life, without the need for a traditional grid connection.

Different country. Same challenge. 🌎

When Green Frog Systems expanded into the US, we quickly realised the challenges communities were facing weren’t all that different from those we’d seen here in Australia.

Regional roads. Urban growth. The need for safer, more connected communities.

What has been particularly exciting is seeing how our solutions have been adopted across so many different communities, and watching the US business grow along the way.

The technology might be global, but the problems we’re helping solve are local.

A solar tower has no engine and no fuel tank. That sounds like a small thing until you count what disappears with it.

No fuel deliveries. No refuelling runs. No servicing round. No fuel records. No engine noise in the work area.

The NOMAD also moves when the work moves. A forklift puts it in place, sand from your own site fills the base, and when the job finishes the base empties the same way it filled. Nothing buried, nothing on the closure register.

Come and have a chat with us at stand L107 at WA Mining next week, Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre.

How many hours a week does your site spend attending light towers?

13/09/2026

This is Finley. He's spent more nights on remote sites than he'd like to admit.

Here he is on a site with no mains supply anywhere near it, waiting for the lights to come on. No cable run, no generator, no fuel delivery. Just a tower that charges itself during the day and works through the night.

Finley's staying on site. The rest of us are at WA Mining 26, Stand L107, Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre, 16 and 17 September.

What's the most remote thing you've had to get power to?

We mapped out where a mining site actually needs light after dark.

Haul road junctions. ROM pads. Laydown yards. Camps and villages. Gatehouses. Crib huts.

Almost none of them are near a supply. So they either get a diesel tower somebody has to keep fuelling, or they get nothing and people work around it.

That's the gap solar towers fill. No trenching, no cable run, no fuel logistics.

Come and have a chat with us at WA Mining next week, Stand L107, Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre, 16 and 17 September.

We don't engineer for the average. We engineer for the site.

Real-world conditions can be unpredictable, which is why good solar lighting design considers the worst-case scenario, not just the ideal one.

That’s how you build confidence into the system from the start.

"MYTH: “All solar street lights are basically the same.”

FACT: The hardware is only part of the story.

What really separates a well-engineered system is what happens behind the scenes, energy modelling, structural certification and a properly calculated autonomy basis.

Two lights might look similar. Their engineering certainly doesn’t have to be.

All-night lighting, even in the middle of nowhere. 🌙

The Stuart Highway project demonstrates what solar roadway lighting can deliver in remote conditions with systems engineered for reliable overnight operation and the autonomy required to keep the lights running.

A dream without a plan can still take you somewhere. 📈

From designing the first Green Frog Systems product to seeing our solutions in use around the world, the journey has been one of persistence, reliability and staying focused on what we do best.

Competitors come and go. Markets change. But building something that lasts takes consistency.

And seeing Green Frog Systems operating across the globe? That’s a pretty cool moment.
