Yesterday, the Local Government Association of South Australia hosted Darren Sharp Shareable (www.socialsurplus.com.au) to ask the question "How might we leverage shared assets and infrastructure to support local economic development and community wellbeing?". The answers were wide and varied - but the themes were the same. Better engagement with people in our communities and common collaboration tools mean stronger, more resilient communities.
So the question for you is what can you find in your community, a hall, a verge, a corner of a park that you can seek assistance from your local council to develop a community project? Go on give it a try.
