π§ Story Time π
Everyone loves a good short story, I'll call this one 'Give Brett $1 and he will give you back $11.87'...
Let's go back in time to a little teeny Bretty Boy...
Well I was 24, but whatever π
To give a little context, the picture below is an Ad Account belonging to one of the first eCommerce Stores I ever worked with. π
I turned roughly $6,500 into nearly $70,000 for them through Facebook Ads alone... π
But that's not even why they hired me π€
They had a couple of Brick & Mortar stores and I was actually hired to do one day a week shooting video content and managing the store...
After settling in for a couple of weeks, I FINALLY convinced the owner to let me look over their Digital Marketing.
I had been running ads for local businesses for basically free and studying Digital Marketing online for about a year prior...
But I really wanted to get into eCommerce (It just looked so shiny and sparkly) π
So with his approval, I looked over the Facebook ad account, it was... not awesome π¬
I quickly sorted out the product catalog and got the products from the website synced to Facebook...
I then Set up some Dynamic Product Ads,(AKA 'please come baaaack π₯Ί' ads)...
You know, the ads that follow you around like a lost dog after you have 'window shopped' an online store and then left without buying anything...
Yea I love them too π
(ps. those types of ads made up $43,000 of that $70,000)...
The money started rolling in, we were both very happy π
Well If Facebook is working, we might as well do email marketing too right?
Or is it really dead like everyone says? π€

Another $35,774.67 generated from $923.65β¬ with only ~3,000 email subscribers.
That's 38x ROI...
yea, definitely dead.
Well, let's start some Google Shopping Campaigns while we are here then...
Enlisting the help of Petra Manos from The Quantified Web to point me in the right direction with Google and set me up with advanced event tracking, I put together some shopping campaigns to drive cold traffic to the store...

After a few months, the owner wanted a higher ROAS on Google. We reduced spend and increase ROAS as the main goal which you can see in the middle picture below π
So what was supposed to be a one day a week video editing/store managing job, turned in to a $140,000+ Revenue generating experiment for them...
Not too bad yea? π
Oh, and that $140,000+ Revenue...
It was at an 11.87x Return on Advertising Spend too π
Them giving me the chance to practice and try out things on their accounts was an unbelievable asset for my growth...
Now I help clients all over the world grow their online stores with Facebook, Google and Email Marketing...
And I absolutely love it β€
My skills have improved, strategies have changed and process have become more efficient, but the joy I get out of providing value to these peoples business and helping them achieve their goals has always remained invaluable. π€
The journey has not been easy and probably will never be all that easy...
Obviously, this did not all happen as quickly as it seems written out here...
But regardless of the daily battles, it's always worth finding something you enjoy that you can use to give value to the world.
