THINKERS v FEELERS
I always feel excited when I run Myers Briggs and communication workshops because they fit in so well with my life's purpose - to inspire others to be the best version of themselves and to live in harmony with others!
At some recent workshops, people have been commenting on how much they love learning about people who are different from them and how to get on with them better.
Today we're going to focus on the differences between the THINKERS and the FEELERS.
I wonder which personality style you will identify with and whether you know people close to you, who have a completely different personality style from you!
I'd love you to share your thoughts with me in the comments below😀!
Some of the THINKERS' possible strengths are:
Logic, objective thinking, a sense of fairness, critical ability, organisation.
Some possible weaknesses are:
Not showing feelings, misunderstanding others' values, not noticing other people's feelings, lack of interest in conciliation.
THINKERS sometimes assume that FEELERS are "touchy-feely" and over-sensitive!
On the other hand, the FEELERS' possible strengths are:
Consideration for others' feelings, an interest in conciliation, an understanding of needs and values, demonstration of feelings.
Possible weaknesses are:
Being uncritical and over-accepting, less organised, not guided by logic.
FEELERS sometimes assume that THINKERS are unfeeling, conceited, aloof.
Here are some comments from WEA participants:
"I found the workshop totally engaging, fun and informative. I learnt how to interact better with other personality types." Neil.
"I'm fascinated by this sort of information. I enjoyed the class and participants very much. I loved hearing about the different forms of communication, depending on Personality Type and the importance of accepting differences." Kate.
