Our friends at the Othering & Belonging Institute at UC Berkeley have just released this facilitation guide for practices.

“This Facilitator’s Guide brings together the key ways that we created the container and detailed agendas for five of our ‘greatest hits’ (which simply means that we like how they balanced topic, activity, and group sharing in diverse ways). This guide is aimed at shining light on our efforts in order to allow you to consider them for your adoption or adaptation. In the spirit of co-creation, we hope you will adjust them, make them your own and share back so that we can continue to iterate together!”

The Othering & Belonging Institute at UC Berkeley brings together researchers, organizers, stakeholders, communicators, and policymakers to identify and eliminate the barriers to an inclusive, just, and sustainable society in order to create transformative change.

Such a small word for such a big and important concept.

Today there’s a gathering of colleagues Mary Freer, FionaKerr, (Dr)Gill Hicks AM MBE and myself spending the afternoon with some of Australia’s most technically specialised Nurses to identify, explore and honour the intangible, sensed and felt aspects of quality health care; trust, humour, kindness, dignity, intuition, humility, compassion, presence, connection and being.

We are calling it Conscious Health Care.
