Your help was invaluable show day while I tried to navigate two separate judging rings! It was a mammoth effort and I’m so grateful to each and every one of you! And thank you Phil for having a glass of wine with me at midnight and telling me everything was going to be okay by morning. 🙈🤣🍷

🍸Zenith Park Tequila Mockingbird EX91🍸
9 fast years ago, Zenith Park bred our first calf since our re-establishment… Little did we know the fun we would have raising and showing our firstborn.

This Adelaide show felt a little bittersweet being her last outing out in the ring, and while there were no broad ribbons for her this year, we couldn’t have been prouder with how she looked. Brett, we’re so lucky you opened your door to us and have managed our cows the way you have, your whole herd is a credit to your talent. Dean… I’ve never been so excited for a photo… and this has to be my all time favourite!! Thank you for everything!

The big, emotional, and exhilarating moments restarting our stud that are core memories we share as mother-daughter most often revolve around “Mockie” and the firsts she gave us, such as our first bred and owned cow to classify EX91, our first all-breeds supreme title at a royal show and our first in-milk jersey champion ribbon at a royal show to name a few.

She’s a tough act to follow for us, but we’re so excited to see where our mockingbirds take us 🪶

🎀 Not just a pretty face 🎀
When we got a message from Brett Fiebig last week asking what was the highest fat % we’d seen a jersey do…. We were excited! Zenith Park Tequila Mockingbird EX91 has been kicking goals in the dairy recently, doing 8.2% fat in her latest herd test! Thank you to Brett for always knowing how to get the best out of our girls, we’re so lucky to have them under your care.

So our Zenith Park heifers we’re recently returned to us from the Murray Bridge High School. We gave them 2 of our best to take to the Royal Adelaide Show this year “Zenith Park Viral Jodie” out of our IDW winner (Zenith Park Tequila Silvermine) and “Zenith Park Victorious Moment” bred out of one of our wonderful foundation cows Homelands Reagans Silvermine 91pts, who had previously won juvenile champion at Adelaide Royal and Champion cow at Mt pleasant show respectively along with many other championships.
I must say it was an absolute honour and pleasure to work with such an amazing school and their ag Teachers Grace and Ally and all those wonderful keen school students who looked after our cattle. What a professional bunch of down to earth people! So glad you got the scores on the board with Zenith Park Victorious Moment winning a very strong 18 mth Jersey class for you guys and then going on to win the Progeny pair group class for Zenith Park against in milk cows! Super proud of how you cared for our girls. Can’t thank you all enough!!! Bring on next year 👌🏻❤️🥰

The 10 hour drive for our little stud proved to be a success! Our first blue ribbon at IDW since re-starting our stud, winning our age class with Zenith Park Tequila Silvermine. Zenith Park Tahbilk Mockingbird had a successful first show placing third amongst strong competition in the rising star.
We also showed Glenbrook Rhapsody 64 for our debut in the Illawarra ring and secured second place, which was a very proud moment seeing Ian Mueller in the crowd waving and videoing from the stands. Thankyou to all of the Illawarra breeders who took the time to chat to me, your words of kindness and encouragement meant a lot!
Thankyou to Kenny for prepping the heifers to perfection, they looked their absolute best and it took so much stress out of show day, you handled the girls so professionally and we couldn't have imagined them looking any better.
Lastly we'd like to thank the crew for all their help and Dean Di and Michaela for welcoming us into the string with such open arms and congratulate them on such a successful show, its always refreshing to work with people who take the same approach to managing and showing cattle thankyou for all of your support during the show.
