๐ Calling all ocean and coastal stewards, coastal communities, and those who care deeply for the health of our marine ecosystems ๐
In the shadow of the ongoing toxic algal bloom affecting South Australia's coastline ecosystems, Ecolitic are proud to be collaborating with the Australian Earth Laws Alliance to launch a 'Citizens Inquiry' into this ecological crisis.
This initiative seeks to bring together experts, but more importantly, everyday citizens and community voices - particularly those who feel unheard or sidelined by official processes. It's time we created a platform where real experiences and concerns can shape the broader conversation about the future of our coastal ecosystems.
๐ฃ๏ธ Whether you're a local fisher, marine scientist, recreational beachgoer, or simply someone who cares deeply about the water that connects us all - your voice matters. As philosopher Paul Feyerabend perfectly states -
"The laymanโs knowledge may be more reliable because it is based on more direct experience, and it may be more relevant because it is more closely connected with actual problems." - from 'Science in a Free Society' (1978).
The systems and structures that are designed to protect and nurture our ecological systems, should always be open to challenge, critique, and contribution from all sectors of society.
