Custom 7'8" Jaybee fun board for Keli. Designed as a pathway from longboarding to more maneuverable surfing without sacrificing stability or wave-catching opportunity; the main focus was to keep the familiarity of width and thickness while maintaining a rolled deck and a pulled-in tail for ease when engaging turns. Designed, shaped and manufactured at all stages by Tom Bedford in Moana, South Australia

The Shapers Story is a night with Rodney “Weasel” Bedford — shaping boards since the 70s, chasing waves from Cactus to the Nullarbor and beyond. Few have lived South Australia’s surf culture like him. Now shaping alongside his son Tom, the Bedfords are one of the only third-generation shaping families in the country.

The night features a film and stories from the shaping bay, a live acoustic set from and a Q+A with Weasel himself. No spin, just straight talk on boards, culture, and the sessions that shaped a lifetime.

Recently had the pleasure of patching this one up for James McEwan. Original 6'2" Cutloose thruster from around 1986, shaped by the guru Rodney 'Weasel' Bedford, in really good condition. Always cool to see these old boards!
