RE-CO Somerton Park was honoured to host the announcement of SA’s Container Deposit Scheme expansion - to include wine and spirit bottles by late 2027!

The expansion will also include cordials and juice concentrates, larger flavoured milks, fruit, and vegetable juices - a huge win for our state’s circular economy ♻️

Until 2027, RE-CO will continue to accept your non-deposit glass at our Somerton Park depot.

It was an honour to have The Hon Susan Close, Deputy Premier and Minister of Climate, Environment and Water officially open RE-CO Somerton Park. This facility marks a milestone in recycling innovation and infrastructure, representing a major step forward in recycling convenience and accessibility for South Australians.

A specials also goes to Louise Miller-Frost MP, Sarah Andrews MP, and Mayor Amanda Wilson for attending and to Green Industries SA, Container Deposit Systems, Macweld Industries and SAGE Automation for their contribution.
