Women in Media South Australia founding members Samela Harris , Collette Snowden , Arna Eyers-White have stepped down from our committee after after more than a decade of brilliant events, networking and mentoring women in South Australia.

Samela Harris is a pioneering South Australian journalist, critic, and blogger. She was editor of Adelaide University's On Dit, the first ever non-social-pages journo at The News (1965), Australia's first female footy columnist (1995) and the inaugural digital editor at The Advertiser. Harris was inducted into the SA Journalists' Hall of Fame in 2025. She was the founding president of Women in Media SA.

Dr Collette Snowden is a Senior Lecturer in Public Relations at Adelaide University's School of Communication, Media, and Journalism. According to research, women after 40 start disappearing from our screens.
Jean Smart, age 75, Allison Janney, age 66, Sally Field, age 79, Rhea Seehorn, age 54, and Linda Cardellini, age 51, all brought home some of the top Emmy awards this year helping to rewrite that narrative ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ

Women donโ€™t become less talented, captivating or deserving as they age - whether on screen, in the office or at the boardroom table ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช
