Worth the five-year wait, itizwil. 👏 and it kept getting better and better.

The passion. The patience. The payoff. This is why we shoot. 📸

For the love of photography. Happy .

“I loved the compactness of this kit, along with the amazing image stabilisation and high ISO performance - it made capturing the images I had in mind amongst the busy Vivid crowds and fast moving light displays a breeze!”

The incredibly rare blue micromoon captured by last night 🌕 Take a peek at Ken's notes for shooting this rare lunar event:

"I shot these on the EOS R5 Mark II with the RF 100–500mm + 1.4x.

Focal length is everything with the moon; 300mm minimum, but most of these were around 700mm and cropped. Definitely worth using a tripod at that range, and turning IS off once you're set up.

If you’re shooting manual, start around 1/100s (or faster if there’s more light) and a low aperture, I usually sit around f/8, especially at longer focal lengths. Keep your ISO as low as possible to avoid noise, it’s always better to get it right in camera.

Best time to shoot is just after it rises or before it sets; you get foreground, better light, and a bit more scale. If you’re just focused on the moon itself, I actually prefer 60–90% illumination, way more texture than a full moon.

And honestly, planning is half the job. The moon doesn’t hang around, if you miss it, you’re waiting for the next cycle."

Incredible shot by Joshua Griffen 🌌

"It was a hot night swim, though looking out at a sea of tiny, glowing red fish eyes in the pitch black definitely added adrenaline to the shoot!

To pull the shot together, we ran a 10 second exposure for the stars while doing a quick light painting sweep with a torch to illuminate the falls.

The new Canon RF 14mm f/1.4 lens may just be the ultimate lens for astrophotography ✨"

New Zealand as captured by @[joannehollings ]🇳🇿✨

"NZ keeps calling me back and honestly it’s the variety of landscapes that makes it impossible to stay away.

From the dramatic peaks of the Mount Cook region to the moody textures of Fiordland National Park, the golden light in Queenstown, and the wild untouched beauty of the Mt Aspiring region… each place offers something completely different to create with. These are easily some of my favourite regions to shoot in Aotearoa.

My current setup has been dialled for versatility while traveling:
📸 Canon R6 Mark III is my go to body for both photo and video. It’s fast, reliable, and perfect for unpredictable mountain conditions.
🖼️ 15 to 35mm for those expansive wide landscape scenes where you really want to show the scale.
🙆‍♀️ 45mm f1.2 is my favourite for dreamy self portraits with beautiful subject separation.
🌄 70 to 200mm when I want those epic compression shots that make the mountains feel even more dramatic.
🎥 24 to 70mm is hands down my most used lens. The focal range is so versatile and it performs beautifully for video when I need to move quickly between scenes.
