It’s National Reconciliation Week (27 May to 3 June), a time to reflect on our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and to consider how each of us can live reconciliation in meaningful ways.

This year’s theme, “All In,” reminds us that everyone plays a role in reconciliation. It’s not just something we talk about, it’s something we consciously do through how we connect and make decisions every day.

For us at Landscapes Hills and Fleurieu, being “All In” means continuing to build genuine relationships with First Nations communities, listening to and valuing cultural knowledge, and working together to care for water, land, nature and community. Reconciliation is not separate from our work, it is part of how we do it. It’s about the partnerships we are building locally and the importance of ensuring they are respectful, meaningful and guided by community priorities.

Our First Nations Partnerships team has been out and about this week, including attending the Reconciliation Week Breakfast, reconnecting with our First Nations-led artist selection panel members and Jamaya Branson, the Ngarrindjeri artist behind our artwork for the new Landscape Plan.
