Tomorrow evening we celebrate the AMCA SA finalists and announce AMCA South Australia Michael Barnes Apprentice of the Year.
Our fourth finalist is Mitchell French. Mitchell is a Refrigeration Mechanic apprentice employed by Westside Services. Mitchell chose this industry because he wanted a challenging career that comes with ongoing employment and rewards. When undertaking work experience in the industry, he knew this was what he wanted to do. He enjoys complicated problems and always works closely with tradesmen in resolving issues wherever or whatever they are.

Only two more days till AMCA SA host the Michael Barnes Apprentice of the Year Awards Dinner commencing at 6:30pm at the Hilton Adelaide.
We will be holding a silent auction on the night to support and raise much needed funds for the Childhood Cancer Association.

Another finalists is Aaron Harrison. Aaron is a Refrigeration Mechanic apprentice employed by A.G. O’Connor. Aaron chose this industry because it was versatile and challenging. The opportunities available within the Refrigeration Mechanic trade are vast and believed would provide him with prospects to grow and progress further in the industry. Aarons motivation each day is achieving his goals and knowing where he sees his future.

The Michael Barnes Apprentice of the Year Awards dinner will kick off from 6:30pm Friday 3rd December – AMCA is excited to acknowledge the future of our industry.

AMCA SA finalist, Tom Elliss. Tom is a Refrigeration Mechanic apprentice employed by D-Stal Electrical. Tom is a qualified carpenter, duct erector, and has always wanted to learn other trades. Taking a keen interest in the HVAC industry he continues to strive to learn more by starting an adult apprenticeship. Additionally, he has the aspiration to encourage the next generation to join the industry.

The AMCA looks forward to celebrating the Michael Barnes Apprentice of the Year Awards 2021 this Friday 3rd December. One of the finalists is Paul Galic.

Paul is a Mechanical Services Plumbing apprentice employed by Watson Fitzgerald & Associates. Paul has from a young age been inquisitive about the mechanics of objects and how they operated. A challenge he enjoys is looking at how things work by breaking them down and reassembling them.
Paul sees himself continually learning and growing and hopes one day will lead into a higher role in the industry.
