A real Tuesday at KVS.
My son woke up sick yesterday morning, my husband had appointments today he couldn't move, luckily, my mum was up for stepping in to take the morning shift with him while I got out the door. I'm incredibly grateful for the support I have to make this whole thing work.
First stop was a coffee meeting with a potential client, which is honestly one of my favourite parts of this work. Getting to sit with a business owner, understand what they're carrying, and start thinking about how we can help them is something I never take for granted. We also nerded out about the solution he created for a problem in his business.
After lunch I had a meeting with Jess, our social media legend, where we went through every client she's currently working on. We shared updates, answered each other's questions, and brainstormed ways we can be doing even more for the people we're supporting.
Then a one-to-one with a team member, which I love. My priority in those conversations is always to make sure everything is on track, any questions are answered, and that the people on my team feel confident, supported, and good about the work they're doing.
A Zoom call with a potential collaborator followed, then a client meeting where we worked through part of our weekly new client process — going through everything we need to cover to make sure all the boxes are ticked and the next steps are ready to book in. This is something we do every week and it keeps everything moving in the right direction from the very beginning.
One more team one-to-one to close out the work day, then back to mum life.
