One variety. Two very different stories.

Working along the A-Wines California team, the brief was to create two distinct New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc brands, each with its own opportunity.

Following the launch of Driftstone,the brief shifted. Same varietal. Different audience, positioning and personality.

Introducing Papahū.

While both wines started with the same varietal and region, each required its own identity, positioning and personality.

Papahū was developed as a more restrained and elegant expression of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Quiet confidence, purity and a strong sense of place shaped the brand from the beginning.

From naming and creative direction through to design, trademarking and trade presentation, this was another considered end-to-end brand build.

A reminder that great branding starts long before the label.

A proud mum to two beautiful children and her beloved fur babies, Claire has also built Brand Warrior from the ground up over the past 9 years into the thriving business it is today.

She leads with heart, intelligence, warmth, and authenticity, inspiring our tribe and our clients every day. Beyond being a great business leader, she’s a caring mum and one of the genuinely good humans in this world. Her kindness, compassion, and natural ability to make people feel seen, supported, and valued are what make her so special both in business and in life.

Our tribe is growing.

Lauren Hampel has joined Brand Warrior as our new Client Marketing Lead.

Lauren and Claire first worked together at Hill-Smith Family Estate, so this has been a long time coming — and the timing couldn’t be better.

With more than a decade at Hill-Smith/Yalumba, experience across marketing and PR, and formal training in communication and wine, Lauren brings the depth and perspective that make her a natural leader. She’ll be working closely with our marketing assistant, Maddie, to ensure a more unified and connected team.

The kind of person you want in your corner.

Wine Paris was a big one.

Five weeks on, we’re still working through the momentum it created.

Claire and Dan spent three days on the stand meeting importers, retailers and distributors from across Europe — more than 60 conversations with buyers from markets including Sweden, Norway, Finland, the UK and Eastern Europe.

As Dan shared recently with Wine Business Monthly, Wine Paris has quickly become one of the most effective global platforms for connecting wineries with the right partners.

Proud to stand behind this one.⁠

Our partnership with Jim Barry Wines on their McGrath Foundation campaign spanned strategy, creative and ex*****on across every touchpoint.⁠

We led campaign development and look-and-feel, delivered packaging and collateral, updated the website, shaped the social media strategy, and built out Google and Meta campaigns to drive reach and conversions. We supported PR across the campaign, event and the release of the new Watervale Shiraz, and amplified the event through influencer attendance and user-generated content.⁠

An integrated campaign, built with purpose and built to make a real impact. This is what it looks like when strategy, creativity and commercial thinking work together.
