Our Moomba CCS project has reached a significant milestone – 2 million tonnes of CO2e safely and permanently stored in South Australia’s Cooper Basin!

Achieved in just over 18 months since operations began, this underscores the scale and reliability of the project and the technology despite two significant flooding events occurring in the Cooper Basin within the last year.

Santos Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Gallagher said the race is on to develop and deploy CCS, and Australia has unique competitive advantages – geological storage resources, a robust regulatory regime and proximity to regional emitters with large CO2 sources – to lead the way.

“CCS is an incredible opportunity for Australia to secure its standing as the region’s carbon storage powerhouse - unlocking new skilled, secure, well-paying jobs and international investment.

Santos has achieved first oil from the Pikka phase 1 development on Alaska's North Slope!

This is the result of years of disciplined project ex*****on in one of the world's great super basins. Alaska has a huge runway ahead of it which will underpin Santos for the long term.

Key facts about Pikka phase 1:
→ Initial ramp-up to 20,000 bbl/day (gross) over coming weeks
→ Production plateau of 80,000 bbl/day (gross) targeted in Q3

Pikka is just the beginning. With development of the Quokka and Horseshoe Units of the high-quality Nanushuk reservoir ahead of us, Santos has line of sight to strong production growth on the North Slope

This achievement reflects the combined work of Santos, our partner REPSOL, and a highly capable workforce in Alaska.

This morning Santos joined Channel 7's Sunrise at Darwin's Waterfront Precinct with everyone from our friends at the Santos Aboriginal Power Cup to local kids and the AFL players themselves.

It was a morning that showed exactly what this weekend is really about: community, culture, and footy.

Tonight: Gold Coast Suns v Port Adelaide Football Club at TIO Stadium.

Last night Santos hosted the opening ceremony of the Santos Aboriginal Power Cup NT – a football carnival bringing together young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from across the Northern Territory, held in Darwin for the very first time.

The evening was about recognising the students who’ve worked hard to be here and celebrating their talent and the journey that brought them to Darwin this week.

Congratulations to all award recipients and we look forward to seeing you in action on the field today!

What does it mean to Wongkumara man, Ashley, to work on Country?

“You can’t really explain it. But it warms your heart... and you’re a part of it. To be able to go around the country and feel your ancestors there – you know there’s nothing better than that.”

Ashley is now working as one of our first Indigenous Rangers in the Cooper Basin, along with 14 other recruits from five Traditional Owner groups, including Boonthamurra, Dieri, Kullilli, Wongkumara and Yandruwandha Yawarrawarrka.

Santos and Beach Energy are investing up to A$12 million over five years in the pioneering program to strengthen connection to Country.

We’re tackling marine debris together!

Each year, we team up with our LNG neighbours and Tangaroa Blue to help keep Curtis Island’s beaches clean.

Santos GLNG employees and their families recently helped remove a combination of plastics, metals and fishing gear from environmentally significant areas like Turtle Street and Southend’s main beach.

The debris is sorted and logged in the Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI) Database which helps track sources of pollution and ultimately reduce ocean waste.

At Santos GLNG we’re committed to working alongside our community partners to support sustainable solutions for our unique coastal and marine environments.

Take a look at the journey of natural gas through the eyes of First Nations artist, Brandon Butler - operating as Gaba Art.

The powerful artwork, ‘We are Santos GLNG’, traces the ebbs and flows of the land that natural gas travels through from the Bowen and Surat Basins, across Country to port, before it goes on to power the world.

Brandon, a proud Gooreng Gooreng and Gurang man, designed and created the artwork to capture our connection to the Gladstone Region, its local community and each other.

At the heart of the artwork is a birds-eye view of Santos GLNG on Curtis Island, representing the coming together of all those who contribute, including many Traditional Owner groups.

The turtles recognise Curtis Island as an important nesting site and our Long-Term Turtle Management Plan.

The artwork will be displayed at our Central Control & Administration Building on Curtis Island – thank you Brandon!

What a difference a year makes!

Twelve months ago, Adavale was inundated by heavy rainfall and severe flooding. Now the area has dried out and while the recovery effort is ongoing, a sense of normality is returning to life in the outback.

With that comes the Adavale Campdraft - back again for another year in all its dust and glory!

Santos was a proud supporter at the event as a major sponsor of the Adavale Sport and Recreation Association.

We’ve been working in the Cooper Basin for more than 70 years and are committed to making a difference for the better.

Santos is getting on with the job of delivering the Narrabri Gas Project, which will helped boost Australia’s domestic supply of natural gas.

One hundred per cent of Narrabri’s gas has been committed to Australia’s domestic market, which could supply up to half of New South Wales’ natural gas needs.

We’ve spent more than $1.5 billion to get the project approved and developed so that we can get the gas to market.

Back Narrabri Gas.

Santos Managing Director and CEO Kevin Gallagher said the Northern Territory expansion of the Santos Aboriginal Power Cup marked a proud milestone for a program Santos has supported since 2009.

"The Santos Aboriginal Power Cup has been delivering real outcomes for young First Nations people for over 16 years, and the results speak for themselves. Expanding into the Northern Territory is a natural progression for a program like this, and one Santos is proud to support,” said Mr Gallagher.

“We have a long-standing commitment to the Northern Territory and the communities in which we operate, and investing in the education and futures of young people is exactly where we want to make a difference."

Port Adelaide’s not-for-profit arm, Power Community Limited, has announced the landmark expansion of the Santos Aboriginal Power Cup.
