Human Resources
Providing your business with the support in;
• determining, implementing, monitoring, reviewing and evaluating human resource management strategies, policies and plans to meet business needs
• advising and assisting other Managers in applying sound recruitment and selection practices, and appropriate induction, training and development programs
• developing and implementing perform

ance management systems to plan, appraise and improve individual and team performance
• representing the organisation in negotiations with unions and employees to determine remuneration and other conditions of employment including enterprise bargaining
• ensuring compliance with related statutory requirements
• overseeing the application of redundancy and other employee retrenchment policies including outplacement
• monitoring employment costs and productivity levels
• support to Managers with personnel and workplace relations matters
• assistance with retention and succession planning
• dispute resolution
• assistance with workforce planning

Corporate Services
• high level administrative, strategic planning and operational support, research and advice to senior management on administrative matters such as staff management, facility management and information services
• Support in developing and managing the organisation's administrative, physical and staff resources
• Support in developing and implementing administrative and operational procedural statements and guidelines for use by staff in the organisation
• Support in analysing complex resource management issues and initiatives that affect the organisation, and preparing associated reports, correspondence and submissions
• Support in leading, managing and developing administrative staff to ensure smooth business operations and the provision of accurate and timely information

Project Management
• Support to achieve greater efficiency and solve organisational problems, and review organisational structures, methods, systems and procedures. Skills Assessment
• Assess potential applicants for job opportunities and ensure that they have the skills they claim to have in their resume
• Assess existing staff to determine training requirements, skill deficiencies, or the best candidate for that internal promotion
• A wide range of skills assessments on offer including computer software, behavioural, customer service. Training & Development
• Training in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs
• Team Building
• Swat analysis
• Communication strategies
• Tailor made training in accordance with business requirements

I am looking for a hr consultant with experience in training and development to join a community services organisation in the western suburbs with 250 staff and 100 volunteers.

To be successful in this role you will be able to;
- undertake training needs analysis
- Design and present training programs e.g. the corporate induction for all new staff, improving customer service, building effective teams;
- together with coordinating external training providers to deliver on identified training programs.

You will be responsible for developing the annual training calendar and maintaining the training database ensuring all staff are compliant with the skills required to effectively meet service delivery standards and meet contractual obligations.

When you aren't involved in training activities you will assist with hr activities including recruitment, whs return to work and general administrative activities.
You will have a good sense of humour and a great work ethic.

I have had many conversations with employees who tell me they are not getting what they want or need from their Manager. I have coached these employees to approach their manager to attempt to rectify this. If it doesn’t work then it won’t be long before the employee resigns and finds another job. Some managers, whilst brilliant at the technical aspects of management, lack skills to deal with the human element of managing employees and don't understand what they want and need to become fully engaged.
