If you’re billing $500k a year and even 20% of invoices are late, that’s $100k sitting in someone else’s pocket.

Even if half of that is only 30 days overdue, it’s still a massive hole in your cash flow.

Here’s the quick calc:

1. Take your annual revenue

2. Multiply by % overdue = That’s your cash stuck in limbo.

3. Now write down your top 3 overdue accounts.

4. Follow up this week.

That’s where the money comes from.

Plumber in Adelaide was owed $50k.

Suppliers were chasing them.

He felt like he was running hard but getting nowhere.

We sat down with a Work in Progress sheet and listed every open job and outstanding quote.

Here’s what we found:

👉 Multiple jobs were 80% done but not invoiced
👉 He had old quotes with no follow-up
👉 Several jobs had started without deposits locked in

We took action that same week.

Within 2 weeks, he went from feeling like he was working for free to collecting $42,000.

Same customers – just a better process.

Almost no business owner we’ve ever met LOVES marketing.

You probably like making things, or fixing things, or helping people... but not marketing.

Sitting down to “DO” marketing, like ads or endless social media updates, takes a heap of time... and often a heap of money too.

An old Ad exec used to say “Half my marketing budget is wasted, but I don’t know which half”

The same can be said of TIME spent marketing “Half my efforts are wasted, just don’t know which half”.

How much easier if you had a template where you fill in the blanks next to each prompt, and it’s finished.

Peter is a retailer… He banked $80K of extra cash and that was just the start.

This shouldn’t have been possible, because:

• He had excellent purchasing power being part of a buying group
• He had a high-profile promotional program with ads that were working
• He was well positioned in a high flow target customer location

Peter ran a tight ship and thought his financial performance was “about right”.

You can imagine how he felt when we ran a few numbers.

This is what we did:

• We found he was overstocked… enough for 7 months of average turnover
• We found the departments where he made the most money
• We stocked those departments with higher margin items

Turns out his bulk-buying had all the profit tied up in the last 50% that wasn’t selling through.

Peter was rapt with the fix… it gave him the confidence to move to bigger premises.

His store now has a $300K bottom line.

The start of this story was a quick brainstorm.
