So I finally did a thing! I actually wrote my first Blog which I have wanted to do for years.
You see I love writing, and in my head I produce all sorts of amazing articles, books, quotes that are funny, informative, heartfelt and inspiring. However, when I set about to write them down the words literally fly out my ears!
I have struggled with ways of getting what's in my head out and either written down on paper or even recorded nothing that I tried really worked. Finally I stopped overthinking it and just did it with a little bit of help and encouragement mind you, but its out there.
It's by no means perfect but as I continually tell my clients it's not only the big moments you celebrate it's all the little steps it took you to get there.
So on that note I hope you find my first blog post helpful in some way and I would love your feedback as I learn and grow in this space.

Mini Kitchen Makeover,

The kitchen in the house I am currently renting is small and a terrible layout so I'm continually changing it around and trialling different things to make it work better. Much to my sons horror haaha.
Sometimes the way you organise things doesn't always work out to be the best use of the space or easy for everyone to keep it clean and so you need to reassess what's been done. This also gives you a good reason to make sure everything you have in the cupboards are being used. Clear out what you aren't along with any out of date products or empty containers.

You don't always need to organise/reorganise a whole room at one time as this can be an overwhelming, so one cupboard, one box, one container at a time is how it gets done.

I managed to give my bathroom a mini declutter this week that I had actually been putting off because I thought it would take a lot longer than it did. Sound familiar?

The grey basket up the top in the before photo was full of out of date products, half used products and even unopened never to be used products. Which all got cleared out and the basket can now hold a big bag of Epsom Salts and heat packs.
I don't purchase storage containers until I know what I have left so I don't waste money or keep things just to fill the containers. So in the meantime I have grouped items together making it easier to gauge the size container I will need, and I will have a look around my home to see if there's any left over containers I cleaned out from a different area.

In the end this took me about 30mins as I gave the bathroom a clean as well and I'd been putting it off for weeks hahaha.

Once I have finished it properly I will show you updated photos but in the meantime at least there has been a big clear out of stuff and stagnant energy.

Are you aware of the deeper benefits of clearing out your clutter?
It's so much more than just removing unused, broken or excess stuff. While that is being done it moves around energy not only within the home but also within your body opening up space and removing blockages.
Each area within the home relates to an area in your life according to Feng Shui so by removing blockages and stagnant energy you can improve relationships, gain more abundance, better health, improve your career, attract people to help or unlock more creativity.

Decluttering at any time is beneficial however at the moment (especially the next few months) it's possibly the most potent time in the next 20 years at least. Why is that? This is the last year before we head into the new 'Period 9' (2024-2044) so the clearing you do now will allow you to plant powerful seeds for the future.

Next year will be one of rapid growth so why not make the most of it by clearing out what you no longer need or want and make way for your dreams for the future.

Let's talk CLUTTER.

Do you know exactly what clutter is? Did you realise people can have a 'spotless' home but it could still be filled with clutter? Are you aware of the impact clutter has on your life in general?

Clutter is anything that takes up too much space in your life, causing you distress and overwhelm. Leaving you feeling physically and mentally heavy and weighed down, keeping you stuck in some or all areas of your life depending where the clutter is located.
It doesn't matter if it's out in the open or hidden behind closed cupboards it all has the same effect.

When we look at clutter through the lense of Feng Shui it can give us a deeper understanding of which areas in your life you are blocking. Our homes are divided into 9 sectors according the the Bagua with each sector corresponding to an area of our lives.
For example if your ABUNDANCE/WEALTH sector is cluttered you are blocking the flow of abundance coming into your life and clogging up your cash flow.
If your FAME/REPUTATION sector is cluttered you can block any enthusiasm, passion or inspiration and cause your reputation and popularity to fall.
If there's clutter in your HEALTH sector it can cause issues with your overall health and general wellbeing.
Where these areas fall in your particular home will depend on which direction it faces as per Flying Star School (this is the form of Feng Shui I practise).

The first step to regaining control is to recognise there is an issue. It's never easy to admit we have allowed things to get out of control. When we are filled with guilt and shame reaching out for help can be so overwhelming I understand I have been there. I'm here to help not judge, together we can work through any issues you have in letting go of different items and create a home that works for you and your family.
