Last July, we spoke to a founder with a great product. She thought it would be easier to sell than it was.

Ever felt that knot in your stomach right before a big leap?

Man, it is one of those things NOBODY tells you about when starting a business.

BUT, here’s the thing 🤫

EVERY ...SINGLE.. Business Owner has those same knots, those same god damn fear injected voices in their heads.

Me - Nina, oh my gosh I cannot even count how many times...
I've been awake late at night with my heart pounding out of my chest

or how many times...

I've cried before and during another big and sometimes even small jump.

BUT, what story would I rather tell my grand children or take with me when my time has reached its end on this planet?

That I played it safe? That I stayed in my lane?

Or that I created something that I deeply believed in, that I WANTED to pour my blood, sweat and tears into regardless of how I felt or how little I slept...

and that made a difference to millions?

That brought me incredible joy...

That changed the way my family can live and play...

That, when I look back when I get to the end of this crazy trip on earth, I'll be damn proud of?

At some point, every one of us faces the unknown. And, yes, fear might tag along, but it doesn’t have to make the calls.

Each time we allow ourselves to lean into fear, we are taking a step. A step towards our dream, towards bringing our idea to life, towards building magic for a better future.

Numbers don’t lie!

Woa, yes of course I am biased because I love browsing the shelves WAAAAAAAYYY more than spending hours getting lost on the internet, feeling overwhelmed by all the choice, eventually giving up and never clicking that check out button at the end.

BUT, when I looked through the recent retail stats, I thought I'd share them, because - hey... if we want to reach more people, then NOT putting products into shelves might mean to miss out on quite a bit.

Here are some of the stats we think you need to know about!

But WHY are these numbers so high?

The 1x thing online (at this point in time) just can't do for a consumer is create the ability to try, touch, feel, smell or taste a product.

Yes, tech is getting better to help us try on sunnies or a beautiful dress (hm kind off at least) but if you or your customers are like me, who HAS to try it, smell, taste, or just be able to touch a new product to feel confident:

āœ… It does what it promises
āœ… It is great value for money
āœ… It stacks up better than when I used before
āœ… And that it simply belongs into my life. (Cause we purchase products that match and support our identity)

So if you've been having that thought of 'oh man my sales would be a lot higher if people visiting my site would just be able to TRY it, then maybe it's time to consider getting your products into shelves?

Building a profitable business is the hardest thing, hands down, I’ve done in my life. It’s lonely, it’s scary, it crushes my confidence & it can sometimes demand everything and more I think I can give it.

BUT for me, since my baby Teo was born, my desire ā€˜to leave the planet better than I found it’ has become soooo damn big, that the FEAR

…of NOT going all in

…of NOT giving my dream and mission all I’ve got

… of getting to my last day & looking back and realising I NEVER went all in and gave it my all is far greater.

Yes having a profit goal is essential we can feed our babies and live the life we want, BUT if I can do my bit to leave the world a bit nicer for my babies, then that feels my time well spent šŸ’«šŸŒšŸ’š
