Denmark Lions Club has received 30 bins from Containers For Change to help with fundraising. 100% of the container refund money will go back into our local community via the many projects, groups and initiatives they support. Denmark's Lions have been fundraising through Containers for Change for several years already so these new, easily identifiable bins aim to boost refunds and make their collection efforts more visible.

Did you know that putting 10c refund containers in your yellow top bin could be costing our community money?

When these items go in kerbside recycling, they’re sent out of town and any refund is estimated. This means only a small portion returns to our community.

But through Containers for Change (CFC), every container is counted and every refund stays local by going directly to Denmark's residents, charities and community groups.

In fact, local CFC refunds can generate more in a day than kerbside recycling returns in a whole quarter.

With more donation bins now available around Denmark, and proceeds going to local groups , it’s never been easier to make a difference!

Trailblazers come in tomorrow Sunday and see the Green Skills Container Recycling Albany, Denmark and Mt Barker Albany depots new signage.

And we will be closed this Monday 2nd June for WA Day for our staff to have a restful break. We are open this Sunday from 10am to 2pm and again Tuesday from 9am and then business as usual.

♻️ Containers for Change at the Renewables Fair 2026

Some highlights from the Containers for Change stall at the Renewables Fair 2026 in Denmark, bringing together community members from Denmark, Albany and Mt Barker for a day of practical conversations about recycling and reuse.

The Green Skills team, including Jason and Jasmyn, spent the day speaking with visitors about how Containers for Change works across the region. WARRRL representative Liam Wolfe also joined us, connecting with the community and sharing insights into WA’s recycling systems.

A standout moment from the day was Jasmyn’s homemade chocolate mud cake, decorated with wind turbines, electric vehicles, solar panels and miniature Containers for Change bins. It was shared at the end of the event with volunteers and attendees and became a real crowd favourite.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the stall and took part in the conversation.

It's Here! Denmark's new Drop & Go Station

Short on time but BIG on recycling?
Can’t make it to a Containers for Change Refund Point during opening hours?
Don’t like waiting in line?
Then Denmark's new centrally-located Drop & Go Station is for you. Now you can drop off your container bags while you’re in town - saving time, fuel and effort.
To use the station you need to put your Containers For Change Member ID Number on each bag or box so the refund can be paid directly into your bank account. If you haven’t signed up for your free Member Number, now’s the time. You’ll be able to track your refunds and receive payment notifications.

📍 Location: Side road off Hollings Road, near the Denmark Community Resource Centre and the Green Skills composting hub.
