With business alarm monitoring you will not have to manually keep tabs on your alarm system yourself, as the monitoring team is there to manage alarm activity and follow the agreed process when something needs attention.

PGC Security manages its services through the control room, which creates a single point of communication for clients and staff. If an alarm event or unusual activity is identified, the team can follow the response plan that has been set for your business.

That response plan matters because the right action can vary depending on the site and the situation. It may involve contacting the nominated person, escalating the incident or arranging an appropriate response. You can also receive updates when your security needs may need to be increased or refined.

For business owners and managers, this means there is a defined process in place rather than relying on someone to notice an alarm, work out what has happened and decide what to do next after hours.

Business alarm monitoring is a practical security solution for your business.

Business security continues to evolve, although one thing remains the same. An alarm is much more useful when there is a clear process for what happens after it is triggered.

CCTV needs to be installed and used responsibly.

For businesses, this means thinking carefully about where cameras are placed, what they record, who can access the footage and how the system complies with current privacy requirements. A properly installed CCTV system should help protect your business without creating unnecessary privacy concerns for staff, customers or visitors.

This is another reason to work with a professional security provider like PGC Security. The system needs to be practical, effective and appropriate for the environment.

Installing cameras is one part of the job. Making sure your CCTV system is useful after installation is just as important.

PGC Security can monitor and respond to situations that arise, depending on what you need. This may include responding to criminal activity, checking on staff welfare, supporting site management.

The response can be tailored to suit your business. You decide what action should be taken in different situations, and PGC Security can help guide that process if you are not sure what response makes sense.

For many businesses, remote access is one of the most useful CCTV features.

If your system is connected to the NBN, you may be able to check your property through a live feed when you are away from site. This can be useful after hours, over long weekends, during holiday periods or when a staff member needs something verified quickly.

Remote access can also be set up for multiple users, which is helpful when more than one person has responsibility for site security or operations. For example, a business owner, operations manager and site supervisor may all need different levels of access.

The key is making sure access is set up properly, with the right permissions and security controls in place. That's where we come in.

No two businesses need the same CCTV setup.

A retail store may need cameras at entrances, point of sale areas, stockrooms and high risk aisles. A construction site may need coverage across entry points, equipment storage areas and changing work zones. A warehouse may need cameras positioned around loading docks, vehicle access points and internal traffic areas. A professional office may need a more discreet setup focused on entry, exit and staff safety.

PGC Security designs and installs CCTV systems for both commercial and home use, with each system tailored to the property, budget and level of coverage required.

That means the conversation starts with what you need the system to do. Do you need to deter after hours access? Do you need to check a live feed remotely? Do you need cameras that can see clearly at night? Do you need multiple users to have access? Do you need monitoring and response if something happens?

Once those questions are answered, the system can be designed to suit the way your site actually works for your business.

After more than 60 years in business, Denis O'Brien has officially closed the doors of O'Brien's Diesel Engineering, bringing to a close an incredible chapter in Wagga Wagga's history.

For generations, Denis built a reputation not only as an exceptional engineer but also as a passionate motorsport competitor, mentor, community contributor and someone always willing to share his knowledge. His story is one of hard work, innovation and dedication to both his customers and the wider community.

PGC Security has had the privilege of looking after Denis's business for around 20 years, after we purchased AU Security. Over that time, Denis became much more than a valued client. Through his involvement with the Wagga Boat Club and his love of powerboat racing, he and Jan became close family friends.

We've also lost count of how many times Denis would ring to speak with our previous owner, Shane. You always knew it was Denis because the laughter would soon echo throughout the office. Those conversations were never just about security - they were about friendship.

Congratulations, Denis, on an extraordinary career and the legacy you've built. Thank you for your contribution to Wagga, to motorsport, and to so many people whose lives you've touched along the way.

We wish you and Jan every happiness as you begin this new chapter. We have no doubt retirement won't slow you down for long, and we're looking forward to seeing you around the boat club and at the racetrack, and catching up over plenty more laughs.

Enjoy your well-earned retirement, Denis. You've certainly earned it. 👏

When something happens at your business, you need to know what happened, when it happened and what to do next. Guesswork is not helpful when you are dealing with theft, property damage, staff safety concerns or an incident that needs to be verified quickly.

That is where a well-designed CCTV system can make a real difference.

CCTV is now one of the most practical ways to deter property crime, manage risk and keep a closer eye on what is happening across your site. The technology has also come a long way in recent years, which is good news if your current idea of CCTV is a grainy image where everyone looks like a blurry potato.

PGC Security can design, install, monitor, repair and upgrade CCTV systems to suit your site, budget and risk profile.
