We won. Best Business Coach at the ANZ Beauty Industry Awards 2026.
I have a different story to most coaches in this industry.
At the end of year 10 my mum had a stroke. I moved in with my grandparents, and just like that I was in the workforce with no plan. So I did the only thing I knew how to do. I worked.
One full time job and two casual ones, and I worked my way up through management at Woolworths.
At 25, someone took a chance on me and gave me a legal assistant role over qualified lawyers. It changed my entire life.
Eleven years out of school, I decided to become a lawyer.
I completed an advanced diploma in nine months while working full time and scored an OP1.
Then I started studying Law at Bond University. A year into that degree, JadeStart was a uni assignment. It got a high distinction, so I launched it.
Then the company I worked for went into receivership.
I spent five years inside that collapse, and nearly a decade in insolvency after it.
Firing hundreds of people because their employer went into liquidation. That work leaves a mark. I have never forgotten it.
That is why JadeStart exists.
Aaron and I saw a pattern in this industry we could not unsee.
Brilliant clinicians. Beautiful businesses. And too many of them ending up in exactly those rooms.
Tax debt. Over leveraged. Nobody ever taught them the numbers.
Eleven years, clients in over fifteen countries, and thousands of hours of coaching given away for free.
All of it for one reason. So that not one of you ever has to sit in that room.
Thank you to our clients, who trust us with everything.
To our team who work hard to deliver for our clients, thank you.
To our industry friends. To the other finalists doing this work right alongside us. To the Mocha Group, Beauty Expo Australia and the judges. Thank you.
And to Aaron, who has believed in this since day one and transformed thousand of lives right beside me, and who spent the night at home being dared to eat a bottle of chilli flakes by our two year old. I wouldn't be on this journey with anyone else. I love you.
To everyone in that room: you kept people employed and fed families through some of the hardest years t
