Update on our project at Bondi Junction.

Showcasing the excavated basement and fully exposed double rotary piles installed by CF Group.

Here we're showcasing the use of double rotary (cased CFA) piles for a contiguous wall at our project in Bondi Drilling to a depth of 12 metres with a 7-metre socket into medium to high strength sandstone.

Double rotary drilling combines continuous flight auger drilling with continuous casing. The casing and auger (inside the casing) help avoid decompression and subsidence along sensitive neighbouring structures.

Today we farewelled Brent Austin who suddenly passed away unexpectedly 18th May.

Brent was one of a kind a true professional and I believe one of the best in the industry. He so loved his Liebherr drill rigs and set the bench mark for others to follow.

We will miss his humour his mateship and of course his amazing spirit.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to Amanda Austin and his family and we are deeply saddened by this tragic loss.

CF Group are on the verge of completing another project for our well reputed and repetitive client STARGATE PROPERTIES. This new development will fall part of a 4 level basement in the heart of Bondi Junction.

We have currently completed over 80 % of the shoring wall with the double rotary system (cased CFA piles) using 2 of our LRB 255 piling rigs.

This project has proven to be both challenging and exciting, achieving up to 6m rock sockets in class 3.

CF Group is currently delivering a new turn key project for our clients, Top Spring Australia and Ceerose Construction, in Double Bay. We have just completed the installation of the shoring wall (60 CSM panels, 15m deep) and 77 CFA foundation piles (750mm dia, 21m deep). Bulk excavation works have commenced on site which will also include 3 rows of support (anchors and bracing), dewatering, detailed excavation and lifts pits shoring.
