The journey through Europe has rolled into Monte Carlo!

After travelling through Italy aboard the Crystal Serenity, guests arrived in one of the world's most iconic destinations for an evening inspired by the glamour, spectacle and history of Formula 1.

Hosted at the legendary Salle des Étoiles, guests followed a race-day journey through grid lights, traffic signals, memorabilia displays and racing simulators before a dramatic Formula 1 car reveal brought the room to life.

As the evening unfolded, stories were shared, photos were taken, and guests immersed themselves in a destination that feels synonymous with motorsport.

One of those event moments that people will be talking about long after the journey is over.

AV1 is proud to be supporting and delivering a number of client events across the country over the coming days for National Reconciliation Week.

NRW is a time to learn, listen, reflect, and strengthen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities, and we’re proud to play a part in these important conversations and celebrations.

We’re also excited to announce that AV1 is ALL IN as we begin our journey towards developing a Reflect RAP with Reconciliation Australia. We look forward to continuing meaningful action towards reconciliation and creating positive change for our First Nations staff and the wider communities we work within.

“London Calling”, this year’s school production from Randwick High School, took audiences on a high-energy journey through one of the world’s most iconic cities. From Mary Poppins and Doctor Who to Oliver, The Beatles and James Bond, the show brought together music, dance and storytelling in a celebration of London’s culture and creativity.

With more than 180 performers, musicians and crew involved, the production showcased the power of the performing arts to build confidence, collaboration and community.

Behind the scenes, AV1’s Boo-Jay Salakas played a key role as Technical Director and Stage Manager, while also contributing across set design, soundtrack production and more.

The theme of this year's show was inspired by a classic red telephone box, which was donated to the school. Boo-Jay assessed that it wasn't safe for production, and diligently spent his weekends over the months preceding the show to completely rebuild it as a stage-ready set piece. And the creativity didn't stop there! Boo-Jay also designed and built the Dalek you see on stage, using a mix of woodwork and 3D-printed materials.

AV1 was proud to support the production, sponsoring LED screens, and giving Boo-Jay time to be on site during show week as part of our commitment to community.

Congratulations to all the students and the Randwick High School production team on an incredible show.

We had the pleasure of being one of the first groups to tour The Cutaway at Barangaroo last week - an incredible new venue space delivered by Placemaking NSW, ICC Sydney and Darling Harbour Live.

From the striking sandstone wall to its sheer scale and flexibility, it’s set to become a standout destination for cultural and corporate events.

A big thank you to Brian Nash and the ICC Sydney team for showing us through and sharing the vision behind the venue.

We’re excited about the opportunity to produce client events here once bookings open in August 2026.
