Experienced Station Hand – Jeogla Station
New England Region, NSW
Jeogla Station is looking for an experienced Station Hand with 1-2 years' experience to join our young, motivated team working across the station and feedlot. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with cattle, horses and machinery, takes pride in their work and has a positive can-do attitude.
The role will include but not limited to:
- Mustering on horses
- General cattle handling, husbandry and stock work
- General station maintenance
- Fencing and repairs
- Machinery operation and basic machinery maintenance
- General station duties
- Working safely and efficiently as part of a team
- Maintaining a high standard of care for livestock, machinery, equipment and the property
What we’re looking for:
- 1–2 years’ previous station experience
- Own horses – essential
- Good horse-riding ability
- Good cattle handling skills and a sound understanding of cattle husbandry
- Positive, reliable can-do attitude
- Willingness to learn and take on new skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good work ethic and pride in your work
- Physically fit and comfortable with the demands of station life
- Competent with machinery and vehicles
- Current Class C driver’s licence
- Working dogs are welcome
