Lumian Helping Leaders and Organisations Pursue Their Potential and Perform at their Peak

With decades of combined experience in the military, our team of organisational psychologists and executive coaches combine the science and psychology of people at work with the battle-tested lessons, principles and experience of leadership in combat. Our focus is to equip leaders to be able to develop their people and transform them into great future leaders. We war against the perpetuation of poor leadership and are committed to delivering organisational solutions that challenge mindsets, influence culture and empower people.

So far this year, around 50 people have completed our Mental Health First Aid course.

One of the most encouraging parts of facilitating these sessions is hearing how practical and valuable participants have found the training. Every participant who has provided feedback has said they would recommend the course to others.

Sharing one piece of feedback below that we really appreciated.

We have a number of public courses coming up over the next few months:
• Ipswich | 17–18 June
• Brisbane | 23–24 June
• Rockhampton | 22–23 July
• Townsville | 4–5 August

We also deliver MHFA training privately within organisations for teams and workplaces across Australia.

If you’d like to learn more, feel free to reach out.

We have a few Mental Health First Aid courses coming up this June, available in both Brisbane and Ipswich.

These accredited courses provide practical skills and confidence to recognise, respond to, and support someone experiencing a mental health challenge or crisis.

📍 Brisbane - newly added

Whether you’re a leader, business owner, HR professional, educator, frontline worker, or simply someone wanting to better support the people around you, MHFA is one of the most valuable and practical courses you can undertake.

Participants who complete the course and assessment receive accreditation through Mental Health First Aid Australia, valid for 3 years.

This year, we're excited to freshen up The Coaching Leader experience! One thing hasn't changed, though: the demand for this course.

We are a few weeks away from our first date of the year, and we have just 1 PLACE LEFT (after we already increased capacity). We've also started receiving registrations for June.

Let this be your nudge - if you've considered joining us, you don't have the luxury of putting off your registration.

Head to https://lumian.com.au/cxlxmasterclass/ for more information and registrations.

Our final group of Mental Health First Aid “grads” for 2025.

One of our favourite parts of facilitating this course is hearing what motivates people to complete it.

In this group, two participants are preparing to become Farm Angels, offering support to those in rural communities. Another plans to go on and become an MHFA Instructor, focusing on an industry she has identified as needing stronger mental health awareness and support. Others joined to be better equipped to help their colleagues, clients, and communities.

The skills and knowledge gained through Mental Health First Aid are truly transferable. They can shape the way you approach any conversation and could even be a turning point in someone’s life.

We’re super close to releasing the 2026 course dates, which will include regional and metropolitan locations as well as blended online options.

A big thank you to You Me and the Community for sharing your beautiful space. The Legacy Hub in the Nicholas St Precinct, Ipswich, is such a vibrant venue that brings people together. That sense of community connection is one of the strongest protective factors for mental wellbeing.

Should we offer more weekend MHFA sessions?

Not our usual Saturday attire.

A while back, someone told us they couldn’t access Mental Health First Aid training because it’s nearly always midweek.

Unless your employer is supportive and releases you from work, it’s tough to attend (that’s an issue for another day!)

You either miss out or use your own leave to do something you want to do for others.

So this weekend we’re in Rockhampton running MHFA. People who wanted the skills and made it happen.

If there’s enough demand, we’re happy to add more weekend sessions and travel to the regions too.

What do you think?

Should we run more weekend offerings?

Where would you like to see us next?

… and we’re off.

Our final Coaching Leader Masterclass for 2025 has kicked off. Energy is high, and participants are ready for a great day, leaning in, and investing in their leadership.

Today’s program reached maximum capacity (IT SOLD OUT), 3 MONTHS AGO!!

The great news is, the team has been working hard to lock in our 2026 schedule, and we’ve found a way to open up some more space, without compromising on experience - in fact, we think our 2026 offering will be going next level.

For those on the waitlist, dates and information will be sent out tomorrow, and announced more broadly to our community at the end of next week.

For your first chance to lock in this training for you and your team, you can join the waitlist.
