Very sad to say absolutely horrid service from what used to be a decent hosting provider. Uber hosting was taken over by TPP Wholesale which is part of Netregistry which is part of Melbourne IT. Supposedly a serious company with large $100M+ cash flow.

Absolutely incompetent migration team with even worse Customer Service - who are of very, very poor "support". Not one of our client accounts nor our own has been migrated correctly or without errors. All of them foreseeable and preventable. Getting support to correct these errors has been filled with delay and tragedy.

Customers extremely upset and suffering impact to business.

Even attempted escalation to CIO has not met with issues all being resolved nor in a timely manner.

Customers for over ten years now leaving us to go elsewhere. And I don't blame them. Serious loss of business and huge amounts of wasted time to us.

Be very careful of Scammers! As the government reports people are losing money to these schemes.
On Thursday I received two calls about three hours apart to my mobile from automated English female voice stating they were from the Federal Dept of Taxation and I was delinquent in my income tax so warrants were being issued and I had to call 0286075076 (which was call ID from the incoming calls) to deal with them.
Be very careful of Scammers! As the government reports people are losing money to these schemes.

Last Thursday I received two calls about three hours apart to my mobile from automated English female voice stating they were from the Federal Dept of Taxation and I was delinquent in my income tax so warrants were being issued and I had to call 0286075076 (which was call ID from the incoming calls) to deal with them.

I had some fun. I was driving home in my car using hands free and had time. In a calm manner I rang them.
A Male Indian voice said “Hello” (no welcome or government greeting)
Me: “can you see my number?”
Them: What?
Me: Can you see my number on my phone?
Them: No
Me: well you work for the government so I thought you should be able to
Them: No I can’t see your number
Me: What’s your unique government login?
Them: What?
Me: You work for the government, what’s your unique government login?
Them: Airport West, Franklin
Me: Not your office, your login
Them: (again) Airport West, Franklin
Me: what is your unique computer login
Them: the fellow literally spelt “F C U K” and hung up

Well, I rang back. Another and very similar male Indian voice answered
Me: Hello, did I just speak with you?
Them: No
I went on and on and on, in a calm manner, about them being crooks, thieves, how they steal from innocents, how they are corrupt, immoral, asking how they can sleep at night. I gave a good rant and the fellow hung on. I kept on going for another minute before the fellow said, in his Indian accent “Good god” and hung up. A bit too quick as I would have spoken to him further about his belief in god and what his god had to say about this fellow’s actions.

Interestingly it was a call centre and there was much background activity.

Good security prompt: Regularly change your passwords!

My personal Facebook account was just hacked for four minutes.

I received strange Chinese notifications in rapid succession.

On logging in to Facebook via a browser I was presented with Chinese.

I tried going to settings to reset the language yet was presented with a login screen. Not normal.

I quickly logged in again, in settings changed the language back to English and changed the password. Noticed my location had been changed to USA.

Interestingly then Facebook prompted "Looks like your account was recently hacked. Do you want us to look through recent activity and prompt you to undo it?"

Showed 4 new friends (3 Chinese and 1 person "petra" somebody). Also sent me a message "Petra Myrtle is set to trusted contacts your Facebook account." Facebook then prompted me to undo them, which it did well.

Then prompted me "do you want to log out of all other devices". Great idea.

So all should now be fine. Be careful out there. No idea how they got into my Facebook account. (I have pretty good security) Good prompt to change passwords on a regular basis.
